Been coming here since the 70's. Food is reasonably priced and you can tell many locals eat here. Room for large groups. Steaks are cooked to perfection.

Friends we were staying with in Fort Collins recommended Charco Broiler so we gave it a go. It doesn't look much from the outside, and gives the distinct impression that it's something of a locals place when you enter. But the service was welcoming and our party of 10 was soon seated and enjoying our pre-dinner drinks. The menu is... More

Came here because of reviews on trip advisor. I had the chicken tenders, which were ok. Husband had steak sandwich, it was just a really thick cut 4 inch round piece of steak with two pieces of bread, hardly a sandwich. Daughter had spaghetti, she said it was pretty much tasteless, very plain. Service was good. If we go back... More

We've been here several times and have experienced good and not so good. The first time, the food and service were both pretty good, but the next time we went, our food took forever to arrive at the table and it was cold by the time it got there. It seemed like our server forgot about us, and we had... More

Through the years, CB has been one of my most frequented eateries. I was introduce to their Club Steak Sandwich, when I was a student at CSU. It was delicious, and yet today my favorite meal, 8 oz club steak, rare, with baked potato and Cottage cheese. It was $2.75, the first time I ate it, and though it is... More

Our hotel desk clerk suggested this place to us. When we got there, we noticed it was a place for locals, not college students. Good! The wait staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was very good. The salad was fresh. After several bad experiences in a row, we were very glad to find this place.

Stopped in for breakfast on our road trip. Looked to be a local favourite perhaps by the patrons and size. Restaurant and attached bar, quite dark with low ceilings but tastefully decorated in western decor although a bit dated. Could use a window or sky light. Fair choice for breakfast at a reasonable cost. We had a Mexican omelette, heurvos... More

Service was excellent, but the steaks (med rare) were a little tough. I had the pepper sirloin and it was cooked to my liking but it was just more tough than I felt it should of been. The tenderloin was the same, cooked to med rare but tough, I believe that may have cooked them too fast.

The Charco Broiler has been around as long as I can remember, serving up good, hearty, filling food at resonable prices. When I was you, this was my father's favorite 'go-to'. The took care of patrons. I'm happy to say they still do.

The low rating is in comparison of what other options are available, not solely as the overall quality. The CB obviously was popular with an age group and era from the 70's as the decode, food quality and cliemtele are indicative of this. The food is far from modern cuisine, even for steak and potato comfort food restaurants. The decor... More
