We were visiting Durango on a business trip and Red Snapper was one of the few places to offer oysters on the half shell but I have never seen oysters so small and old looking. I understand Durango is not the place to get the freshest oysters but I would have been ashamed to serve them. We did have excellent... More

The Red Snapper has become one of our favorite Durango dining experiences. My husband can get a good steak or his favorite trout and I just love the Salad Bar! I highly recommend the restaurant for it's specials and attentive service!

We dine at Red Snapper at least 2 times a month. The scallops, filet mignon, lobster, tequila lime shrimp and fish tacos are wonderful, the service is always terrific. The interior of this restaurant is a little out dated but the chef definitely knows what he is doing. I would recommend giving this place a try.

We were walking the streets of Durango looking for fried mushrooms. We stopped in five restaurants to no avail before happening upon The Red Snapper. The menu outside indicated crab stuffed mushrooms so we went inside. After looking over the menu we decided on oyster Rockefeller, crab cakes and crab stuffed mushrooms. We finished the order with a local IPA... More

I think I had built up my expectations too high. Don't get me wrong, nothing was wrong with the food or service it was good. But I think I was believing I was going to experience. "Knock my socks off" meal. We sat right by the salad bar which by the way was the highlight. But as people moved around... More

Quiet and conducive to business lunch. Excellent salad bar. Reliable seafood. I visit the Snapper at least once per month. Parking is tricky out front, but you can often find it on Second Ave. up the hill.

The best salad bar in town, and the prime rib it wonderful. Good wine selection as well. The restaurant is in an old hotel, and has several fish tanks around the room.

This restaurant was recommended as a great date night place to eat. They greeted us quickly, we got seated quickly. This should have been a clue on a busy night. We sat for over 5 mins before asked about a drink. Then another few before menu was given. Prices were pretty high but we thought it's date night. 10 dollars... More

Whenever we are in Durango we always hit the Red Snapper. They have a fabulous happy hour which include Oysters on the half shell. All the food I have had is supurb and the service is outstanding.
