3/20/16- My son and I were in Durango during Spring Break. The 30 minute wait was well worth it. We are not beer drinkers, but enjoyed the great food, just as much! We had the 4 burger sliders for a great appetizer, but were pretty full before our meal. I highly recommend the BBQ Flat Iron Steak (great bacon added).... More

We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon when they offer $2 pints on selected beer. Drea, our server, suggested an IPA which wasn't listed but was available for the $2. It was the Red Eye P.A or something like that. I think it was a combo of their Lizard Head Red and the Third Eye P.A.. Whatever it was very... More

Sometimes places like this have great beer, but food as an afterthought. Not this place. Really good burgers, fish tacos, and apps. Would have given it 5 stars, but the atmosphere was not 5 stars. I guess it is a brew pub, but wish it were a little nicer inside. But after a day of skiing, it's the perfect place... More

Good food and beer. Had a long wait, 1 1/2 hours for party of nine, but not too unexpected on Easter weekend. Cool atmosphere.

Great food and atmosphere. I had a bacon cheeseburger and a salad. Husband had a regular burger and fries. Burgers are half pound cooked to order. They serve cocktails in addition to beers. We wend on a Monday at noon and there was a 10 minute wait. We waited in the bar for our table to be ready.

We had a BBQ Chicken Pizza and shared a salad. The food and service were great. Steamworks is a fun place with a great atmosphere. Arrive early or be prepared to wait.

Description
Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
