Step 1: Go to the store and buy frozen boxed taquitos, tacos, burritos, etc. Step 2: Take them home, heat them up, and eat them. Congratulations. You've just experienced the food of Kachina Kitchen. Takes you back to your dorm room living days!

Traveling through Durango, we asked at a gas station for a place in town with good Indian tacos. They recommended Kachina Kitchen. We were not disappointed. Food was great!

It's been awhile but stopped by to get some lunch and the only thing we order is usually the Navajo tacos! They are good and have a spicy green chili that's so good but I still have to check my food every time I go since one time we went and we found plastic in our food. As well sometimes... More

A real locals eatery. My wife always gets the stuffed sopapilla and it has never disappointed. I usually get the really large burrito and it is tasty and massive. The frito pie is also a good choice. Everything is fresh and tasty and under $10.

When visiting a fast food restaurant operating out of a storefront, your expectations are not all that high but this place surprises!. First of all, this is the first fast food restaurant that I have ever encountered which makes it's own tortillas! This made a big difference in both the taco salad AND the tostadas. Second, their navaho tacos are... More

After getting my license next door decided to stop by and get some food! Probably only thing I get is Navajo tacos they're good but I always like to watch as they prepare it because one time when I ordered one I had found plastic in the meat. Service is ok could be better.

The entrees are tasty, as is the chile. The refried beans and Spanish rice are somewhat bland. With some chile, they can be spiced up to be a tasty addition.

The sopapillas and Fry Bread are excellent for the base of the most popular meals provided. Casual atmosphere and meals are served on a paper plate with plastic silverware which makes cleanup easy. The desserts out of sopapillas are excellent too.

The restaurant is cafeteria-style dining and the lighting is fluorescent, but after a long day of travel we didn't need atmosphere, just needed something good to eat. We had bowls of beef and bean chili served with a generous portion of spicy green chili on top. The chili was quite flavorful and went well with our Navajo fry bread. We... More

While we are natives of the area, we only get down to the Ignacio/Durango area several times a year. We head to the Kachina Kitchen for one meal while we are in the area. It has always been a good filling meal. It brings back memories of the fry bread my mother made when we had pinto beans for dinner.... More
