This is a great place to go if you like green chili and cheese! The food is good and the prices are great but it's certainly not for everyone. I wouldn't go if you're health conscious or lactose sensitive. If you like sloppy mexican food, you'll love this place!

I first went to La Fiesta in about 1986. It hasn't changed since then. I mean it hasn't changed a bit. It was then a popular lunch place for lawyers, especially prosecutors and judges owing to its proximity to the courthouse. Until recently, the Colorado Supreme Court justices frequently lunched here. However, it is an average Denver area Mexican restaurant,... More

I have been going to La Fiesta for 30 years, same place, same server for a lot of those years actually. Only open for lunch Monday through Friday and for dinner on Friday, not open on the weekends. I love the hot salsa and chips, very different and killer spiced, and the green chili is some of my favorite in... More

Service took forever. Lunch for four people took nearly 2 hours. Unreal. Food was lukewarm and salsa was not flavorful. We also had to figure out the bills ourselves for expense reports because our server took our credit cards and didn't charge the right amount to the correct card. Ugh. Thank for nothing. Never again.

While the green chile was good, it certainly wasn't up to what we get in New Mexico. Almost every dish ordered by our group was swimming in sauce so it all looked and tasted the same. The sopapillas were thick, not light and fluffy. The margaritas were ok, but a little sweet probably because they are premixed and served from... More

Was here for lunch with a group of 6 and thought the food was really good! I had a grilled chicken burrito and was pleasantly surprised as how good it was! It was a bit loaded with sauce, but once I started mixing it up it was really tasty! Try the Bloody Mary as it was great too! In fact,... More

I hadn't eaten here since the '90s but recently read something about it in the paper so I decided to try it again. It pointed up to me how much Denver's offerings in Mexican food have expanded since then. For instance, I don't think you could have found tacos al pastor anywhere in Denver 20 years ago, but now you... More

We visited twice in the past couple of months because we had discount coupons. The food was OK (chile rellenos and green chile were good), the atmosphere/decor was well below average and the location was one that I would not want to frequent at night. Which is a good thing since it's only open one night per week (11:00 AM-9:00... More

We were lucky, happened to go for dinner on Friday night the ONLY night they are open. It's a big ugly place, looks like it was a bowling alley before, no charm to it. Be prepared to pay CASH, if you don't have it they have an ATM there. ( I consider places like this to be tax evaders, note... More

La Fiesta was long one of my favorite family owned Mexican restaurants in downtown Denver. I've been gone for a few years and had lunch there today and it's gone down hill. First, nobody acknowledged us when we walked in the door, we were told to find our own table and once we did it was a booth for four... More
