Met a friend for dinner at the Wishbone for the first time ever. Kind of a throwback to a restaurant of past times or Midwestern feel. Good food, generous portions, prompt and friendly service. I can imagine it gets pretty busy on weekends but it's a fairly large building... Don't expect tons of "healthy" choices...an older crowd comes here...

Everything was eh. The chicken is fried. It's not brined, or juicy, or anything special. Mashed potatoes are instant. Chicken gravy is premade- unnaturally yellow-colored. Mac and cheese are velveeta shells and sauce. The cornbread stuffing was good -unsure what brand. You can get this at your local diner. Nothing to write home about at this place, except that it... Used to go here regularly with family but had been here in a few years. Hugh disappointment! Chicken was ok but certainly nothing wonderful. Mashed potatoes must have been instant and were so bland I didn't eat more than a few bites. Gravy and Texas toast was as good. The middle aged host/cashier made tacky flirty comments that went out... More

While visiting family they invited us to have dinner. It is a older landmark restaurant that specializes in fried Chicken dinner. The service was good, friendly and prompt. The fried chicken was crispy and not greasy. They had other food selections and some good specials to offer. Seemed very popular for all generations.

Reasonably priced food, great service. Recommend highly for friend and family lunch or dinner. Reminds me of homestyle restaurants from when I was a kid.

My husband and I return at least once a month, just to savor fresh fried chicken. This long-term family business is focused fresh, delicious food without the fan-fare and swollen prices. Multiple choices, including shrimp, fish, soups, and multiple sides. You're made welcome on every visit. Parties of one to 15 plus, and everyone receives friendly service. For someone who... More

This place does chicken gizzards close to southern style. Less greasy however. They do consider a wing a piece of "white meat". If you want the breast, order that item by name. Wing was a turn off for hubby. I ate it and found it meaty for a wing. Servings are good sized and make two meals for us. It... More
