Went here with a 14-year old for a fancy burger and brunch. Not inexpensive, but a beautiful spot for a fancy brunch with or without kids.

Considering its location, one might expect something exceptional from this restaurant, but it should be considered a traditional place that hasn't changed much over the years. You won't find small plates of interesting new or artistic fare on the menu. You will find prime rib. You won't find interesting microbrewery drafts. You will find Guiness draught.

Get the Grand Manhattan. It is fantastic. Get the seafood chowder. It's actually chowder consistency instead of soup. Get the seared salmon salad. It has the best green goddess dressing, feta crumbles, and candied cashews. Get the the deep fried apple pie dessert. It has 3 little square apple pies with ice cream. See the picture attached.

We ate dinner in the Ship Tavern as part of our stay at the Brown Palace Hotel - actually we overate in the Ship Tavern. I had ordered a non-alcoholic brew. The bottle and the glass were warm - I expected the brew to be cold and the glass to be chilled. I was disappointed - I get better service... More

Decided to try a new restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. I called and made the reservation and also asked if they did anything special for birthdays. The host said he would, "Make a note for a small chocolate cake." Thought that was wonderful and really excited for the evening. It didn't happen. No mention of a birthday either. He... More

Just had dinner at the Ship. I travel to Denver alot and always stay at the brown palace. Had the prime rib which was as good as ever. My colleague had an excellent shrimp scampi. Great meal. Food is always consistent. And a great old school atmosphere.

I ate here twice. Both times I had the French Onion soup and it was fantastic! Others in my groups had the Seafood Chowder and said it was very good. The staff was very good also. I will be back!

A true (Americanized) English pub that is always consistent and tasty. It is reasonably priced for downtown and the quality is top-notch. The bar has a great selection as well. It has a cozy atmosphere and is nestled in The Brown Palace Hotel so it is very convenient to all the sites in downtown plus you can visit this beautiful... More

During our anniversary weekend we had dinner here. Lots of private tables tucked into corners. Nice wine list. Good food selections and they were very gracious in substituting more vegetables in place of the rice/potatoes. Dessert.....save room because they were amazing!

We always find time to go to Brown's Palace, The Ship Tavern whenever we come to Denver. This restaurant/bar has likely been around as long as the Brown's Palace which is 125 years. The prime rib at Ship Tavern is exceptional and it is always done to perfection. Juicy and flavourful, the prime rib never disappoints. The atmosphere at Ship... More
