We dined here on the day before New Years Eve. We had reservations and please note that there is a private room for a small group. This is especially beneficial if you are dining with toddlers. The room is very cute and is also is the storage for the restaurants bottles of wine. Don't be offended if the sommelier enters... More

A surprising evening. A very pleasant venue and an excellent and interesting wine list but the food was a bit hit and miss. Although the ingredients were very good, sometimes the combinations were not so successful. The fritto misto was beautifully made but, rather than including lemon juice which would enhance gand highlight the flavours, they opted for a heavy,... More

We adventured by pairing our own 3 courses for dinner and it just kept getting better & better with each course. The ambiance is as just about as delicious as the food. The Fegato d’anatra (brûléed foie gras terrine) was melt in your mouth perfect; the Risotto ai funghi couldn't have been more tasty and the duck was delicious! Simply... More

Why the above? Because the entire staff is versed in communicating with diners on every item on the menu; because a small nuance on a wine question might be clearly and fully explained by Ryan, owner and som, because pasta choices can be ordered in entree size, medium size, and tasting size, allowing multiple taste sensations and sampling, and because... Rod McKuen's song epitomizes this restaurant--the warmth of the fireplace, the attentive but not intrusive wait staff, the sense of privacy in a crowded room, the beautifully prepared food and the charm of the interior.

We came here for my birthday earlier this month. I love simple Italian northern cuisine, and so this seemed like a sure-fire way to celebrate. Our table was not ready when we arrived on time for our reservation. After about 15 minutes, we sat down and were greeted with a menu that lacked simplicity. I took a leap of faith... More

This was really really good. This was one of the United Airlines Dinner exclusives, but the food was off of Barolo's current menu. It started with lobster in a small cup, smoked salmon on toast…there were four hor d'oeuvres. The antipasto was Sformato, consisting of a castelmagno cheese flan, tuscan kale, crispy hen of the woods mushrooms, parmigiano frico. The... More

We had a fantastic 75th birthday dinner for my husband. We were with our Denver family & this restaurant is their favorite. Over the top food, selection of wines & good service. The atmosphere is warm, cozy Italian. The Staff is trained well because they shut Down the grill for 2 weeks every summer & take the entire staff to different... More

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant.Fantastic, friendly service with wonderful food. What could be better. They even will split their excellent pasta dishes. They have a huge wine list with some real gems. My only complaint is the mark up on Italian wines is excessive. Oddly some good values in French wines. This place is well wort the flight to Denver.

The food is first rate and very creative menu. The duck and pastas are terrific. The caprese salad is wonderful. But the service is not up to the standard one expects from a top restaurant. There are 50 really terrific eateries in Denver. So to compete in this market, just good food isn't enough. All but one dinner arrived at... More
