This bakery is just the best, with flaky yummy pastry dough and great fillings. You have to go before 9 a.m. because it's just sold out. My only criticism is that the chai is too sweet, but you won't go there for that.

February 21, 2017... ⚜ We have lived here for 11 years. Relocated after hurricane Katrina. I have tasted a few so-called king cakes from different bakeries. They were horrible. Today we came to Boonzaaijers to try it for the first time. Everything we bought was delicious and the king cake was amazing, it would definitely give NOLA's king cakes a... More

Very nice pastries but as any bakery, the earlier you hit it, the fresher the goods are. Also have goods found in little shops in Europe that are fun. We pick up these prepackaged waffle wafers with caramel that my husband likes and keep in a tin at home for snacks. Very nice staff and seems popular with the locals... More

If you need a little indulgence for yourself or for someone special, stop by Boonzaaijers and try out one of their pastries! Any of them! They'll place your choice in a cute little box and off you go. Everything is so rich and delicious that you may want to split one with someone else. But, oh, it is so so... More

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk in and see all the pies, cakes, pastries, cookies and teas and coffee, etc., then you realise this place has a lot to offer. The prices are incredible. You definitely get a great portion for a great price no matter what you order. You can order whole... More

Wonderful bake goods. You can have coffee and pastries there or take a box or two with you. Not for someone on a diet.
