I friend of mine knew about this place. She made us reservations. We went on Friday night, had the chicken fried steak. All of it was amazing! We even sprang for the coconut cream pie, wonderful. I would get reservations if you go, served home-style,...More

We had been told this was the best fried chicken ever, however our chicken had no flavor. I would go on to say it was the worst fried chicken I've ever had, it tasted like it had been in the warmer for a few hours...More

We are really sorry to hear that. We cook fresh chicken to order so it should never be dry or tasteless - our sincere apologies.

First... they are busy busy busy, so make reservations early. When I called, they had nothing available for 4 people for 3 days. Second... they do not take credit cards, cash and checks only. Third... they are open only limited hours. Summer hours when we...More

We love Juniper Valley Ranch. They have really good home cooking comfort food. Their friend chicken is the yummiest! This is a quaint little house with tons of charm. We go every summer.

We are really sorry to hear that. We cook fresh chicken to order but sometimes we have a bad night. I hope you give us a chance to earn your business again.

Our meal was excellent, we were not disappointed with the fried chicken we had heard so much about. All the food was good and the atmosphere was great. We were the last reservation of the night and still, all the food was fresh and the...More

Our family favorite since the early 1960's. Consistently delicious! Great staff. Terrific location. Quaint older Adobe building steeped in charm. The drive from the Springs adds precious time to any family outing or a visit with out of town friends. The only downside is the...More

They are open on Friday Saturday Sunday up until Thanksgiving. Then they close and usually open up again around 1 April. I am not a part of this restaurant but that's just what I know or have heard.

Description
Juniper Valley Ranch opened its doors in 1951 and serves authentic country dinners in a rustic adobe home. Dinners are served family style with a choice of fried chicken or baked ham (and chicken fried steak on Friday nights). Everything is made from scratch daily and meals include an appetizer and seasonal dessert. 4 Generations of the Parker family have ran the restaurant and in 2016 the establishment will celebrate its 65th year of operation. It is a favorite among locals and travelers alike and reservations are recommended by calling ahead.
