We booked this for our wedding anniversary. We recommend the three-course meal. The service was excellent as was the food; as one of the reviewers wrote, be prepared for small portions. Formal wear is expected. Gentlemen must wear a suit jacket; if necessary, one can...More

Recently had a large business dinner here while staying at The Broadmoor. The food was fantastic but be prepared for very small portions, so if you’re used to the large portions at most US restaurants and arrive hungry you may still be hungry when you...More

From a bygone era, a tacky imitation of fine dining. Those under the age of 50 are unlikely to feel welcome. Atmosphere & ambience were terrible, we walked out before our pre dinner cocktails were finished. Gentlemen must wear a jacket, which they can provide,...More

I was not impressed with the Penrose room. We had the 5 course dinner with the wine pairings. Obviously it is a 5 star restaurant based on the service and new cutlery between each course. However, the service couldn’t make up for the food itself....More

The Penrose Room is the nicest restaurant my husband and I have ever been to. It is over-the-top excellent. The service was impeccable. Our rib-eyes were cooked to perfection and delicious. We even received a couple of "freebies" from the chef; all were delectable. Thanks...More

Having enjoyed such a great evening at the Summit on Friday, we expected that things would be even better at the Penrose Room on Saturday. Disappointingly, that was not the case. There we found the quantity of dishes served in the five-course tasting menu (probably...More

They have jackets you can borrow, but they require them for the men, not sure what the dress code is for children.
