Really tasty, good sized portions. Kids enjoyed it, which is high praise indeed. I had the tofu tacos with mango salsa, can't wait to try the burritos...

Delicious tacos and quesadillas but service wasn't great. Thursday is $2 tacos and you can create your own. The steak and mango salsa are great. The location is a little hidden on on Colorado College's campus, definitely a student spot. The employee who took our order just did not want to be there.

We had not been to La'au's for several years, and it has only gotten better in that time! Lots of grilled meats and fish to choose from with fresh veggies and toppings for tacos or burritos. We enjoyed our grilled chicken tacos, braised pork burrito, and baja steak burrito. (Think Q'doba.) Modern indoor seating or outdoor at tables and chairs... More

Been here a few times now and like how fast the service is. All the food tastes really fresh and has plenty of delicious garnishes. Drawback is that when busy (like at lunch when you most want to go) it gets packed the line doesn't seem to move at all.

A group of 5 visited before going to the Fine Arts Center. An easy walk to the theater or an Colorado College event! Two of us had tacos and three had bowls with very fresh ingredients. Menu can be overwhelming--many questions when ordering but very patient staff asking the questions! We sampled pork, beef and mahi in our orders, and... More

My husband and I visited. He had a steak burrito and I had steak tacos. Both were delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Will visit again.

This place is the bomb for fresh, flavorful tacos and a great outdoor patio. On a sunny day, their Mahi Mahi tacos and a cold local beer are the best lunch ever. The staff are wonderful, the ingredients are fresh and though the prices are a bit higher than other "taco joints" around they are more than worth it. A... More

To describe Colorado Cuisine is difficult. To define Colorado Springs Cuisine almost impossible as we are an amalgamation of many influences dating back to pioneer days. Mexican influence yes, but you don't think seafood tacos. La'au's Taco Shop has the best Mahi Tacos made to order around. My friend loved her chicken one and the authentic salsas and toppings are... This is a new take on Mexican with a Hawaiian twist. Lots of fruit influence in the dishes, which have names like "Taco" and "Burrito" so it's a little different from your typical Mexican. Best thing is the large deck providing a big dining area perfect for evenings--and it's shaded by the big building next door. (Which also cuts off... More

The menu here sounded great, and our party ordered the Spicy Tilapia Tacos, the Lettuce Wrap Tofu Tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. Unfortunately, the food did not taste like the description: the tilapia tacos were definitely spicy but lacked flavor. The tofu was deep fried and although it came with a ginger-soy sauce, I couldn't taste it. The taco just... More
