Over the past few years, we have lunched here several times, and luckily never had the negative taste or service experience others have had. Last week we had lunch on Tuesday, shared a caesar and a pulled pork sandwich. Very cheerful and efficient server, very good food. Weds we enjoyed a buffet lunch before a recital which was fresh and... More

In the charming, historic Teller Building next to the Central City Opera House. Excellent choice for lunch with a full menu. Excellent roast chicken and a fine meat ball dish. Do try their lemon olive oil cake. And do see the "Face" on the bar room floor. We had a very knowledgeable server who knew the menu well. They do... More

We had the most lovely lunch July 19th at the ROUGE AND FACEBAR SALOON! The food was better than last time; and service from bar and tables was sharp, quick and very professional. Robert and Ethan did an outstanding job in making our lunch memorable, We both had the Sauv Blanc by the glass. Next time I might get a... More

Ok, how badly can you mess up a salad and hamburger, how much can you charge, and how long do you have to wait for it to arrive? All questions you might want to consider, especially if the answers are Badly. Lots, and Too long.

If you like history and ambience, then this is a great place to grab lunch or a beer. Just seeing the Face on the Barroom Floor is worth at least a drink or two.

Thank heavens the Central City Opera Association has partnered with Kevin Taylor to provide delicious food adjacent to the historic Central City Opera House! Other offerings in town are inferior: in casinos, smoky environment, low quality... Rouge is in the historic Teller House with the famous "Face on the Bar Room Floor". The salads were wonderful, and the burger &... More

The Teller House is a fascinating old building and has the famous "Face on the Barroom Floor." We ate in the atrium which was simple but pleasant and sunny. The menu had a nice variety with reasonable prices. Our food was good though not spectacular. The service was adequate but if our server had shown some warmth and interest in... More

Interesting restaurant......... Good food, nice plate presentations. Everything is a' la Carte', salad from $9-$12, entree from $25-$30, dessert from $9-$10. It's an experience, much like what you get & pay at for instance, Morton's Steakhouse. Went to Opera in the next buiding, supposed to be oldest opera house west of the Mississippi........... Great evening over all !

Located in the historic Teller Hotel building connected with the Central City Opera House, this is an elegant, friendly place. Though a little limited, the dual-purpose lunch/dinner menu has good variety and is all very good, with nice fresh ingredients and excellent service. I had the pulled pork sandwich for lunch and a Cobb salad for dinner on a recent... More
