On a very busy Sunday lunch time we had a lovely dinner in the bar side as the restaurant was full the staff were very attentive and happy even though they were rushing around. Food was delicious and filling.

We go to the Cricketers regularly for a drink but we have never eaten. Went for a quick dinner tonight and it did not deliver. Again really great beer and service but the meal was probably one of the worse I have ever paid for. We ordered the vegetarian tagine for 2 at 23 pounds and it was completely tasteless... More

A great country pub just outside of Watford. The food was amazing from the daily specific menu. Local beers on offer for the food and drink connoisseurs.

Had a lovely night here. First thing was the immense choice of Gins for a pub. The food was good and the service was as well.

Well a quick first visit in the sunshine for a quick sandwich and cheese board never arrived.... Went in to remind about our order, after waiting even longer we asked not to worry about it as our food clearly wasn't going to arrive. The waiter was kind enough to not charge for our coffees but overall the service was poor... More

They had some great local beers on offer, and the Original bitter I had was truly first class. Service was great throughout, but my meal was rather disappointing. I opted for the butternut, spinach and blue cheese pie, quite pricey at £13, and it absolutely wasn't worth it. It was a relatively small slice of pie, with lots of lentils... More

Came here to meet family for lunch, got good service (although mains took a while to arrive) and had some nice food. Prices were reasonable, not bargain cheap, but not outrageous either. Had chicken liver pâté then the steak burger. Both were good, but can't say they knocked my socks off. No one in our group had any complaints about... More

Mid-week meal & they were pretty busy. Staff were very attentive, friendly & helpful. Food was great, hot & tasty. Took a little longer than normal but to be expected when busy.

Following a great walk around the village (as posted on the parish church website) we stopped in for a drink and hopefully Sunday lunch. We had not booked and knew dogs were only accepted in park of the pub (as stated on the website) but we hoped as their were only 2 of us we might be in luck. The... More

My wife and two of our friends went yesterday and we had the roast dinner. It was fantastic and my wife remarked it was the best Sunday Roast she has had in a Pub. Now for her to say that (the most finicky person I know) it's the best compliment ever.

Thank Jeff M

The Cricketers overlooks the green in the heart of Sarratt village - a great place to sit on a sunny day watching the world roll by, enjoying a pint or two with friends.
Inside is a jumble of cosy and comfortable rooms where you'll find some decent ales, a carefully chosen wine list, and a simple but tasty menu with fresh ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
