Whether you run, bike or hike up to Gold Hill make sure to stop here for lunch or snacks. A fairly good selection of foods and drinks and a nice place to relax for a bit. Gold Hill itself is a charming little place well worth going to if you have the time.

My family and I came here on vacation. We took the route our GPS gave us that ended up not being the ideal route. May have not made it up the steep dirt incline if we didn't have 4wd. Make sure you go on their website for the best route. Definately a fun adventure up though. Food and staff were... More

Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Gold Hill Inn. Two ordered the six course meal and the rest of us had the three course. It was nice that you get to choose which six you want. I had a salad (outstanding house dressing), salmon with pineapple salsa (included rice or potatoes and choice of vegetable) and... More

This is a gem of a restaurant with a stunning drive up and down the mountain. We had an amazing 6 course dinner in a historic inn and hotel, and the town took us back to how folks used to live back in the mining days. On the drive down, we had the brilliant site of a full moon over... More

My daughter had made reservations for this restaurant for my birthday, as i was visiting from Floirda and it was listed as one of the top 10 restaurants in Colorado. I must say getting there was an event in its self!! Our roads went from interstate to a dirt road by the time we arrived. On the way, the scenery... More

we were misdirected (by Google) on our way up, but once we reached this restaurant, it was worth the tangled trip. It's a town that time forgot with a popular restaurant that serves 3 or 6 course meals for a reasonable price. The views on the way up (even tho the wrong way) were spectacular. Going back, the right way,... More

I'd heard wonderful things about the Gold Hill Inn, and had at one point considered living around the corner from it, so, despite some mixed reviews here, was eager to take my partner there for an anniversary dinner. She has a solid background in the restaurant business, so I was a little nervous. Unnecessarily, as it turned out. Everything was... More

The beautiful scenery, the historic little town and the old log buildings are worth the drive; a most unique experience. The six course menu sounded great, but the offerings varied considerably in quality. The salad was outstanding with the creative addition of jicama and raw beets. The cold melon soup was delightful and the chocolate dessert was amazing. However, the... More

Twenty-one friends went for a Thursday dinner at the Gold Hill Inn. We took the Inn’s strong advice to only use the Sunshine Canyon route from Boulder to Gold Hill. This mostly hard-surfaced road takes you through some fine views of mountains, meadows and tall trees. The historic former mining camp of Gold Hill sits at an elevation of 8300... More
