I was visiting Boulder with friends. We stopped in to Pasta Jay's for lunch. I got a really good arugula salad and a 10" pizza for about $20. Others got the amazing plate of mac and cheese and the delicious ginger beer. The place cleared out at 1:00 when the business crowd returned to work. It was an enjoyable lunch,... More

I tried the meatball sandwhich which was excellent / fresh. My partner had the gnochi soup with garlic bread. The quality of the food is a testament to the place. Outside seating is available for people watching.

Stumbled upon this 'Italian' restaurant during our stroll down Pearl St. while visiting CU Boulder. Popped in on a Thursday with a party of 3, 15 to 20 minute wait-no problem. Parties that came after us were sat before us due to party size. While I want to understand this, the difference between 3 and 4 people at a 4-top... More

Pasta Jay's has been in Boulder for decades, and it's always packed. It's a Boulder institution. We haven't been in years, but we gave it another shot last night. It was disappointing. The staff works hard, but the food was insipid. I had the seafood lasagna, which consisted of a small piece of lasagna just swimming in sauce that was... More

This is one of the best Italian restaurants ever. You can smell the garlic outside, no joke. Long lines. The food is just fantastic. Got the Chicken Parmigiana. Came in a skillet. Thin, breaded just right with marinara sauce. The garlic knots are of course to be had. Would recommend this place. Very special place!

Pasta Jay's has good sauce. Other than that, expect gummy manicoti, overcooked food, and run-of-the-mill service, along with unappealing music. Likely fumes and a fair amount of noise will come in from street. If you are a Boulder resident, you might want to go every now and then, mostly then. It's not the best value for the price.

We ordered A LOT. Everything looked good. Started off with house sangria. Good! Had garlic knots. Good, but the mean GARLIC. Had spinach, artichoke dip. Good. My husband had a salad. Good. One daughter had caprese salad. Good. The other daughter had a meatball sub. Good. I had tortellini alfredo. Good--table favorite. We were stuffed for hours and hours. Highly... More

I brought my daughter and a few of her fiends here for dinner on a Friday night. I made a reservation and the table was waiting for us when we got there! That was so nice on a busy evening. The food was great, I had the ravioli special with green chills and the girls all had various pasta dishes.... More

I have been going to Pasta Jay's from time to time over the years. The quality of the food stays consistent. It is good enough, but nothing spectacular. I usually get the manicotti, ravioli, or the pasta with mushroom sauce. I was there last week on a week night. The place was busy, but not full. It took a very... More

I have always held Pasta Jay's at the very top of my Italian restaurant list. We stumbled upon this fine establishment after leaving another that, as we were waiting for a table, decided was a lot too stuffy for our taste. I'm saddened to say that I've just had my first poor experience at Pasta Jay's in Boulder, Colorado. Every... More
