My wife and I had lunch here at the end of our stay in Boulder. The ambiance is very casual, as you probably would expect near campus. The cafe was fairly busy for early afternoon on a Friday. But we got a table quite quickly. The style of food is Spanish tapas and Moroccan small plates. My wife ordered a... More

Had a business meeting and went here for a light lunch. I had never been before and was pleasantly surprised by the Spaniard dish. The eggs weren't anything special but the type of salsa that came with the potatoes was absolutely amazing!

Cafe Aion is a simple unpretentious spot. The tapas are so tasty that we never actually order a meal. Last night we feasted on a beet salad, delicious harissa chicken wings, homemade potato chips,& Moraccan pork sliders ... all were a treat. The cocktails & wines are excellent too.

Tapas are always fun, especially to share with friends. Our food was delicious. The tender lamb gyro was my favorite. Fried cauliflower was good and the quinoa salad with apricots was quite tasty. The sangria was less sweet than I'm used to, but the taste grew on me. Our table by the window was nice and relatively private, but so... More

It had been awhile since we ate at Cafe Aion and decided to try it before a Boulder Phil concert. Food was great...carrot soup, tortilla espanola, vegetable tangine, and a great granacha wine by the glass. We were out of there with plenty of time to spare. Very convenient to Macky Hall on the CU campus. Will definitely make it... More

While the food is excellent at Cafe Aion, I do not recommend going there if you are on any sort of a schedule. We waited almost an hour for our food -- after waiting 20 minutes for beverages. We ended up having to leave before we finished our meal in order to make it to our performance at Macky Auditorium.... More

We've been several times -- the food can be very good but the service is uneven and we've had to rush because service was so slow we were going to miss a concert

This was an easy brunch stop after we hiked nearby. It was great for a large group and accommodating for our toddler. Great menu items - don't miss the croissants or the fried to order donut!! We really enjoyed our stop here and had no complaints. My picky brother-in-law even liked the fresh-brewed pressed coffee. The sweet potato fries were... More

Cafe Aion is a great choice on The Hill, especially if you are headed to the Shakespeare Festival or any of the cultural events held on the CU campus. The food is delicious, the choices varied, and the prices are reasonable.

We dine here a couple of times a year when attending an event on Campus or at the Fox. The tapas are always so enjoyable! Spanish wine offerings are fun and unique. Service has been spotty over the years - but our server this week warmed up to us nicely :) People watching on this interesting little corner is a... More
