Reviewed yesterday NEW

Monday is 'happy hour' all evening with both food and drinks. We were presented with the normal menu, and the 'happy hour' evening menu. We chose from the happy hour menu and were not disappointed. Food was great, portion was perfect - not massive, but certainly sufficient, and very good. Prices were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Arugula's quality is high, no doubt. But when I order a salad, I don't mean I want you to put as few leaves as possible on the bottom of the plate with a tiny bite of pickled onion. I wouldn't have ordered a salad if I really didn't want one. The same portion problem applies to many other items at... More

We have eaten here a couple of times since the Restaurant is a short walk from our daughter's home. Yes reservations are necessary as this place is always packed with locals....with good reason. The food is delicious, the presentation is flawless and oh so upscale. Service is professional and discreet. Your water glass never runs low here. Desserts are also... More

Have only been here for lunch, but they are three for three in my book. Very interesting menu and every dish I've had there has been first-rate. There is a big focus on wine and food-wine pairings and their wine list is very nice. Am not sure why their present reincarnation hasn't caught on but am looking forward to trying... More

Lovely decor, friendly service. Food not so great. My salmon was good but my carrots and fingerling potatoes were hard and not cooked. My husband ordered the roasted pear dessert again the pear was hard and not cooked. The food was not awful but since it was not prepared correctly it was not what it could have been.

I've eaten at Arugula a few times over the last 4 years. As my title says, I really want to like this place, but each time I've gone I've been let down. I just don't think I can spend my money there again when there are so many great choices in Boulder. On this last visit recently, I went there... More

Arugula seemed an unlikely spot for excellent Italian food when I came upon it, but it really surprised me. They served an excellent homemade bread to start. We split a small plate of calamari poached in olive oil with garlic, tomato, basil and charred bread as an appetizer, and it was great. The calamari was tnder and the taste balance... More

This was our second visit to Arugula in several years. The layout had changed for the better since the last time. We were here for Boulder’s restaurant week called First Bite. Therefore, we were handed a preset menu and chose items for each of the three courses. We had trekked and eaten our way through parts of Northern Italy this... More

This is a small and quite relaxed restaurant. We sat in a comfortable booth and enjoyed some very tasty food, including Italian sausage with handmade fettucine, Colorado bison, beef & pork bolognese and my own personal favourite - crawfish & local corn risotto which was light and delicious. Keylime cheesecake & flourless fudgecake were also great.

I started with a mint martini and she had the recommended Nebbiolo wine, a new one for us both. As we sipped the drinks we ordered mussels as an appetizer to share and looked over the menu. The mussels were really good and the homemade bread really hoped up the liquid. The muscles came with shoestring potatoes and an aioli... More
