I just adore this restaurant. Everything is great, atmosphere is warm and welcoming but still sophisticated, service is outstanding, good wine list and gracious attitude when you bring your own...what's not to love? Best of all might be the annual cassoulet night. So, so good! Sunday suppers are fun too. Delicious and very reasonably priced.

We were five friends looking for a fine dining experience in the West Hollywood area on a Friday night and we landed on Lucques. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was excellent from arrival to departure and we were seated at a corner table in the covered courtyard like area. We had a very friendly and laid back waitress... More

I loved this place. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet lunch. Ask for a table in the back where the ceiling is open. Salads are terrific. The trout was great. The gimlet was tasty. Try it.

We were in LA for a meeting, and four of us found one night to sneak off on our own. I can't believe how lucky we were to find Lucques. Starting with the interesting and amazing updated takes on traditional cocktails. Loved the Gimlet. None of us could make up our minds, so we each ordered something different and shared... More

We ate here with two friends and were so impressed with the warm welcome by the staff. I suspect this was because our friends come here often to eat (they are spoiled by living so close). Of note, they were allowed to bring a special bottle of wine from home (unsure if there is a corkage fee) to accompany our... More

Both MaryAnn & I loved our leisurely lunch at Lucques on West Melrose near La Cienega. The restaurant was not easy to find with mapping software from LAX and the sign and building are obscured with vines and greenery. Inside there are high ceilings, wooden rafters, yellow accent walls. The tables for lunch are far enough apart to chat There... More

We had dinner here with our son and his wife when we visited from Colorado. It was a wonderful time. Part of that was sharing time with our kids. Our kids are pretty wonderful. The drinks, wine, and food helped a lot though. The server was superb. We had drinks by the fireplace before dinner and moved to champagne with... More

Loved the whole experience at Lucques. Warm, inviting, relaxed, yet elegant atmosphere, exceptional service, delicious food, wine and cocktails. We dined at a recent Sunday Supper which is a prixe fixe menu (but with a choice of a vegetarian entree) based on what they find at the Saturday farmers market and everything was so good. This has to be one... More

From the outside the restaurant looks very nice and that is also the impression, when you go inside. Very competent and friendly service and an exciting menu and wine list. The wines are a little bit expensive, but the food is priced reasonable. Maybe we were unlucky with a plate of meet, which was not that good. On the other... More

This is by far the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Incredible food, incredible service and the perfect atmosphere for the perfect dinner. Chose carefully, eat slowly and enjoy. My favorite! Cheers!

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
