Most seafood dishes are fried which was disappointing. My colleagues had the fish and chip platters and I had a grilled cod sandwich. The clam chowder is a must-do. Service is friendly but a little self-interested. Forgot to bring my soup but didn't detract from the chowder. I'm going to look around next time and see what else is open... More

Greetings, Tony JB.. We have many non-fried seafood entrees, just like your grilled Cod! Our Fish-n-Chips, certainly a deep fried dish and, like our Clam Chowder, is a signature dish for which, based on continual guest praise, we are most proud. Glad you too are amongst those who agree. We have many new persons serving and are getting to their... More

One cup of clam chowder - a very nice introduction to Trinidad and the Eatery. Delicious. Warm on a blustery day. Food is good. Nothing extravagant just good. Service was friendly but lacked attention. Still, on a cold day the chowder is worth it.

Offers clean and simple food. Attentive service and reasonably-priced food. It also has a local feel. Local memorabilia and gifts can also be bought under the same roof. To avoid the blocked access to the beach we were given helpful directions to reach the Bay which was picturesque.

This was a great Find on our roadtrip. Their Clam chowder was the best we had this trip. I had the green chili sandwich, seriously, so good! Great little cafe, strange & quiet inside, but, hey, it had a different personality than most. Service was good. Overall very nice experience. Craving that clam chowder and green chili sandwich!

We wanted a light inexpensive dinner after a long drive from the Bay Area. It looked like a place where that might be possible. Unfortunately, it isn't. The service was terrible -- the food was over priced and not very good. My husband ordered a bowl of the special clam chowder; it was overpriced and unpleasantly gooey. My salad was... More

Hi, cyncrow... Your review of our Clam Chowder is not what we've come to expect; especially that it is made fresh each day from scratch using only the best ingredients. I wish you had mentioned which of our 6 salads you had and felt was over priced. Our prices range from $8 for a dinner salad, $12 for our BEET... More

Was excited to try some local dinner food after a day of hiking along the coast, but our visit here started poorly and didn't get much better. While we were seated right away, we were only the third table there. Unfortunately, that didn't help us get our order placed. Two things really put a sour taste in my mouth: (1)... More

When you have a hankering to drive to the coast and have some clam chowder this is the traditional, homeade stuff of dreams. The fish and chips are good too. I would have liked to have had more meals there, but we traveled with our dog, ordered to-go and ate in the parking lot with an ocean view across the... More

This is a cute town and very picturesque and you could expect upscale restaurants but we were disappointed that the Trinidad Bay Eatery was average at best The inside probably hadn't changed in 30 years and neither had the menu The staff was nice and things seemed clean the restaurant was just not anything to get excited about

We came here on a recommendation from Bill at the Sea Cliff Motel and it was great advise. We all wanted seafood so came first for dinner. We had the special halibut and it was cooked perfectly, not overdone, and the flavors were great. The waitstaff was also great with good recommendations on local wines. We decided to eat there... This restaurant was right next door to our condo, so we figured we'd give it a try. Not disappointed--very friendly staff, excellent food, big portions, reasonable prices. They have a gift shop, too, where we got a few souvenirs. Loved the light, retro music!
