Wonderful staff! Food is good...not the best Mexican I've ever had but hit the spot and truly nice people and a great location!

We are a family of 4 - two daughters aged 6 and 13. Upon arriving there was a wait list - which was our first sign we were in for a treat😁 The menu is diverse and tantalizing for anything Mexican - the children's menu...More

Thank you. Thank you, BabyDoll. We're so happy you enjoyed your meal with us. I'm so overjoyed with your review that, for once, I'm speechless. I'll let the staff read your review and it will certainly buoy their spirits. You've made our day, and for...More

While visiting Lake Tahoe we found The Blue Agave restaurant and decided to give it a try. We got there and were told that it'd be a 15-20 minute wait An HOUR later, we were seated! An hour? Really? We were finally seated the server...More

Living in California I have had many fine meals at many Mexican restaurants, but I would have to put this one at the bottom of the barrel. I would say basically it is a tourist trap so be forewarned. The chips are fine but the...More

We don't serve slop and we're not a tourist trap. We've been here for 23 years, with great success, so we're not going anywhere. We don't cook our fajitas in sizzling oil. Nothing on our menu advertises that we serve sizzling fajitas. And I'm not...More

I was excited to eat here as it had many good reviews. I found my dinner very bland (I had the albondigas soup and chile relleno.) Our service was fair (multiple servers attending our table, unsure who was "in charge.") They were serving the water...More

Sorry you were disappointed, Chen. We served over 600 patrons on July 1, one of the busiest days of the year. We do not use cheap "Tupperware" pitchers. All our pitchers, are Cambro, an expensive restaurant grade 48 oz serving vessel. We use them for...More

We ordered to go. We gave them plenty of time and it still was not ready when we arrived to pick it up. All dishes were very bland. How do you make bland mexican food? It was all edible but we were dissappointed overall.More

It may have been plenty of time for you Kraig, but it took us longer than you thought. It's the summer. It's busy. We do "to go" orders in order along with everyone else's. Dining in or "to go". All in order. As far as...More

We had chicken Caesar salads and drinks. That did not motivate us to have a desert or coffee. Average at best. Staff not the friendliest.

Enjoyed Mexican food. Being vegetarian it's hard to find many options in city of Tahoe, CA but Blue Agave has a good variety. Bean tostadas were really good. Good option and alternative.

We went on a slow midweek lunch day. Both of our orders were incorrect and the margaritas were weak and fifteen dollars each. The server was nice but the meal was not worth the price at all. When the orders came they were not as...More

Hello Jessica. I'm saddened to read your drinks and meal didn't live up to expectations. As a working owner, I am the bartender and was working the day of your visit. I made your margaritas and if I remember correctly, they were Top Shelf, made...More

During our one week long trip in Lake Tahoe, we have enjoyed stoping here and there for lunch. This place is right on the main street across the lake but you can not really see it. The bar looks great, food is fine and the...More
