Food was wonderful, service impeccable. This is a small intimate restaurant with that cozy feeling I remember from living in Montreal years ago.

Lamb shank and porcini ravioli were very good. Beet carpaccio was served frozen, which might have facilitated slicing the beets thinly, but the texture was unpleasant and did not enhance the beets' flavor. Mousse au chocolat was similarly served too cold. Service was a bit casual.
We were delighted by the service, food and ambiance. The maitre d' and the servers took care of a large party without batting an eyelid. We were indeed a Happy Family as we left after a great meal.
Went two nights in a row. Delicious food. Great ambiance. We ordered pork cheeks, onion soup, mushroom soup on first visit. Pork sauce was so flavorful. Soups were outstanding. Second night we ordered terrine, quiche, and gazpacho. All delicious. Terrine and quiche were among best I've ever had. Waitstaff were very nice and attentive. Chef/owner came out on our second... Nestled on a corner near the Pasadena metro station is a charming bistro with excellent food and responsive service. The gazpacho and pasta bolognese were both up to European standards. Ambience was good, and people were enjoying themselves. Prices were 'low-reasonable,' and were a 'good deal' relative to the food and experience.
My husband surprised me for our anniversary by taking me to dinner here. It was such a lovely treat to be back...especially now that it's under New Management. Although we had enjoyed it before, a couple of bad experiences with the staff had kept us away. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner which was inventive, well presented and overall delicious! Our... More
We were told that this lovely spot is under new ownership and that it was much improved from what it had been a couple of years ago. I have nothing to compare it's current condition to but we found it delightful. The setting reminds me of something you would find in a European town. Tables are a bit close together... More
They were busy, our large table was not ready, they ran out ribs, but the evening was PERFECT. They handled every obstacle with grace and made us feel special, like one of the family. Everyone enjoyed themselves from the kids to the grandparents. The food was EXCELLENT - the lamb, duck, burger and dessert, oh the desserts... try them all.... More
We joined another couple for a dinner at the Bistro. The service was excellent and the food was excellent as well. We were there on a week night and it was very quiet and comfortable.
Our fave server wasn't there...and a young server didn't have a clue...plus the table next to us got an apology that their order had gone "MIA". Yet, what a lovely location...caring food (though, no calves liver and onions just doesn't seem right)....so, we hope the problems are only temporary.
