Banny's closed last week and they will be missed. There are no current plans to reopen anywhere else, but if they do they will have a loyal following. Thanks to all of the Bannworths who gave use such great food all these years.

For a Golf center restaurant Banny's offers an upscale menu, without the 4 star overcharge. Their bistro night isn't even announced until Wednesday morning on their Facebook page, so it's fresh. We had the pepper steak which came with an upscale soup/salad, desert and coffee for under $20. The night we attended they had live dinner music. A very enjoyable... More

Banny's is not my favorite dining spot, but the view is lovely and the food is usually decent. Friends and I had lunch there the other day and the dining room was literally abuzz with flies - can only imagine what the inside of the kitchen must have looked like! (Rosetta, the owner, is notorious for her lack of cleanliness... More

Told waiter, allergy, food arrived with deathly allergic item on plate. Long wait for return, by then food cold and all the chef did was pick out the allergy item. How did I find out? My tongue and mouth swelled. Very pricey for cold, sub-standard service and food

We have stopped here for lunch before and always enjoyed it. Yesterday we stopped and the restaurant was closed for a banquet - but signs directed us to the patio on a lower level. Due to the banquet, we were limited to a hamburger - WOW - I probably would have had a salad, but the day was nice and... More

Sadly, we were only one of two tables seated when we dined here. Perhaps it is because it is in an out of the way location, or perhaps it is because the mother (owner) is very rude. However, the service we received from our waiter (I think the owner's son) was fabulous, and our meal was delicious. I had the... More

We loved Banny's in downtown and were more than willing to follow them to their new location. They are only open for dinner on Thursday and Friday (lunch the rest of the days). Their $15 Italian nights on Thursday are a great bargain (3 courses) and delicious. The Friday dinner menu is small but their classics are available. Food is... More

First of all this was my favorite restaurant in Sonora when it was located downtown. My fiance and I travelled from Amador County once a month to eat here. We decided to make the drive to Mountain Springs Golf Course and enjoy our favorite restaurant. Gone was the initimate setting. Instead it was in the banquet room where all the... More

Everything was wonderful. Taste your food before you reach for the salt or pepper because they season it perfectly. The prices were reasonable. I wish I lived closer and could eat more food! You have to try it.
