The food seemed authentic and was pretty good. We liked the portion sizes but found the door slightly dry and needing more condiments. Staff was friendly and service was good!

Ebelskivers with raspberry sauce is a must do it Solvang. It is a round pancake a little bigger than a golf ball. Light and fluffy with and hollow. First time I had one was in 1979. They were great. The ones in this restaurant were...More

The place had decent food and the salad bar was good for our toddler.. but the service was extremely slow. We had to flag down our server for literally everything, to order, to get bread, to get dessert, to get the check. Dining with a...More

Came for lunch and left with no complaints. Their smorgasbord offerings were plentiful, something for everyone. Recommend staying away from the schnitzel as it was quite tasteless. Other dishes including plain hamburger and danish sausage were good.
Thank you for your feedback and patronage. We will review the Schnitzel with the chef. Have a Grand day and safe journey.
Had been here a few years ago, but didn't remember much about it, so I read reviews not only on trip advisor, but other sites as well which were mixed at best. I think the restaurant is now owned by the same family that owns...More
Thank you for the 4 Star review and your patronage. To answer some of your questions the Red Viking is owned by the Olsen family who are Danish and prepare Danish and American dishes some would say Scandinavian. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Stopped in here with my daughter to pass time while my husband and son were getting haircuts. We had ableskivers and the egg salad sandwich. Ableskivers were great! Egg salad sandwich was pretty boring but French fries were delicious! The staff was friendly but quite...More

The food is above average and is well worth going in to eat . It has things on the menu you can not get every day .

Perhaps it was the time of day, about 3:00 PM, but the food on the buffet looked tiered and tasted stale. We should have opted to order off of the menu. Our server did a good job of keeping our tea refilled. We will try...More

We ate lunch here twice in hopes of getting a highly recommended chicken salad sandwich. Sadly, they were out of chicken salad both days. One day my wife tried their smorgasboard and enjoyed several Danish specialties as well as usual buffet selections. My choices were...More
