I have been going to several of these restaurants for many years. Started in San Diego and as they increased their locations I have gone to many. For years they were only in San Diego and expanded to Long Beach, Marina Del Rey, Seal Beach and other places.I use to drive 100 miles to San Diego just to get their... More

Rubios is named after the cofounder of the restaurant that began in Mission Bay, San Diego, CA. Their website states that their fish taco was the one that started the phenomenon that spread from coast to coast. Their menu states responsibly sourced grilled seafood options along with steak and all natural chicken raised without antibiotics, served in tacos, salads, bowls,... More

Located in a shopping center, there are no issues with parking, seating or long lines. Never had an inaccurate order. For those unfamiliar with the chain, the specialty is fish tacos along with other seafood tacos, burritos...etc. There is a salsa bar. Beer and wine is available. The food is freshly made and reasonably priced. While it is very popular,... More

My husband had never tried Rubio's so we stopped in for lunch while on vacation in SoCal. He loved the fish taco and shrimp burrito. I don't eat any kind of seafood but I still love Rubio's. I got the street tacos plate with a side of guacamole and chips. Everything was so delicious and the quality of food always... More

This chain has good "faster" food at a fair price. This location has very helpful staff with outstanding positive attitudes. The restaurant is kept very clean including the salsa bar area.

I love their fish tacos. You can order it grilled or fried, and of course wanting healthy food, I chose the grilled option. You can order lettuce on the tacos rather than cabbage, and you can order the plate with one taco rather than two. Of course the chips are not the healthiest choice, so you opt for a bit... More

World's best fish tacos and homemade salsa - the fire-roasted is best. Staff very friendly. Hard to go wrong with the food.

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
