The food is decent, but it depends on which dish you order. I've been here a few times and each time it was different. Their lounge is great for wine and dessert, a good place to hang out in a fancy place. People do dress up a little more than at other places. The prices for dinner is expensive as... More

We dined there with a large party and found the restaurant had a somewhat cold atmosphere. The food was good but unsurprising, service was accommodating when we were able to get their attention but slow.

I've dined at the Plumed Horse for many many years and have always had a great experience. I've had a few company Holiday parties there, because they decorate the whole place so festively. The food is spot on. The portion size is bite size and way too small for my liking and sometimes I find it disappointing and frustrating :((... More

Had a chance to do some business and enjoy a phenomenal meal. Opted for the tasting menu, which was spectacular. Abalone was delicious. Great wine list. Service was impeccable. Get ready to both spend some dough and have a wonderful experience.

The location is probably the best aspect of this place. Expensive from drinks to food, but go on a warm spring or summer evening and stroll the length of downtown Saratoga after dinner. The street is typically pretty scenic and peaceful.

Never go back EVER. My boy friend took me there on the weekend before Valentine's Day for dinner. It's high rated expensive restaurant, so of course, I was thrilled and expecting a wonder time at Plumed Horse. But honestly say, it was a such a disappointment. We were ambushed with the fixed chef menu of $200 each. The food were... More

The Prix Fixe menu which has a wide verity of cuisines. Even though it's a posh fancy restaurant, the portions are fair. I do recommend getting the foie gras (which will cost extra but I think it's worth it). They do have an amazing wine selection and cocktails. Enjoy!

Where do I begin? I had been to Plumed Horse before and rather enjoyed the filet mignon tips and frites. So when a friend was visiting from SF, I suggested we stop in to the lounge area for a quick bite. Well, in a nutshell, after over 35 minutes after ordering, the lackluster server came to inform us that the... More

This is one of the best restaurants in Saratoga downtown. We have been to couple other French cuisine in the south bay and we like this one the best. It's pricy but the food quality will not disappoint you. They have little dishes to rinse your mouth between every dish. The breadsticks served at the beginning of the meal was... More
