We live near the Vintner's Inn where John Ash & Co resides. Our best kept secrets are the daily breakfasts served near the hotel lobby, and the happy hours at the John Ash & Co lounge. We go to John Ash & Co for special occasion dinners. All three menus are superb. They take a lot of their ingredients from... More

I have visited this restaurant before and have really enjoyed their happy hour. I found a deal through Groupon......a dinner for 2 for $75 (you can order $125 but only pay $75) and this includes cocktails. The ambiance is so lovely.

I'm a local and have visited John Ash many times over the years. Sadly it has just continued to decline in terms of the quality of food and the service. This last time was just such a thorough disappointment, from cocktails to the dessert, I won't go back. Too bad it's now just a lovely building

We stayed at the Vintners Inn for a romantic getaway and were really impressed with the restaurant on the property, the John Ash and Co Restaurant. We started with the smokey butternut squash soup and the angus beef carpaccio which were both mouthwateringly delicious. Then, we had the roasted white sea bass and angus beef filet and both were perfectly... More

I prefer going to John Ash a little early, since I find the dining room just a little stuffy. Grab a table in the bar called The Front Room (next to the fireplace in the winter, if you're lucky). The menu is more relaxed here and if you arrive between 4-6pm, you can enjoy greatly reduced prices, too. I like... More

I've been told about this place a few times and have not really had interest until a few friends decided to go. Amazing experience. First off, the food was great. The staff was also great. To me service and food comes hand in hand. Sometimes you get good food but not so good wait staff. Or you get so so... More

Date night! Always a good time with my partner in crime, but something seems off at this site. Not sure if it's because we're locals and spoiled foodies, but just missed the mark. Easy to get to, a wee pricey, but decent sized portions and it was good....just not great. We will have to check out their HH one of... More

We went for New Year Eve dinner, which is also our 5 year anniversary. The waitress was nice but the whole atmosphere was horrible and their service was poorly executed. I don't know if they were overbooked or short staffed. We were there for 3 and 1/2 hours for only a four course meal. They did not sit us until... More

We enjoyed everything about our experience at John Ash. The service wine and food were spot on. We shared calamari I had the duck which I have not had for years. It was so tender that I did not even use my knife. I hope we get a chance to go back.

We went with friends for dinner had had a decent experience. My foie gras starter was excellent as was my wife's carpaccio. Her duck confit was quite good, but my "famous" lamb trio was very disappointing. The shank bit was dry, over cooked, and tasteless. The chop and sausage were better, but not particularly good. The polenta and a sort... More
