classic salad joint for the lunching ladies crowd. I was with a lady, so all was cool. It's a bizzy corner, but the patio does help to isolate you from the traffic noise on Pico.

This is one of my favorite weekday brunch places in LA, and I never fail to zip in for a delicious meal whenever I'm on the westside of town. The omelettes are generously made with a wide variety of fresh ingredients and served with very nice hand-cut rosemary potatoes, fresh fruit, and toast. A complimentary bowl of chips and salsa... Corner of Pico and 23rd streets, this kitschy little Mexican cafe has great food served by charming wait staff. Good prices, great selection. Eat indoors or out, under roof.

The Lazy Daisy Cafe is a wonderful little place, a true hidden gem. The service is fantastic, and they have a wide variety of foods. All day breakfast, amazing salads and a great kids menu all are amenities that the Lazy Daisy Cafe has to offer. The only downsides I saw was the severe lack of parking and a cramped... More

We had seen the Lazy Daisy Cafe for years while passing by on Pico Blvd., so we finally stopped for lunch. Nice big covered patio seating area with about 24 tables. They only have a few inside tables. They are open for breakfast and lunch, but close at 4pm. They do have some off street parking and there is parking... More

The Lazy Daisy Cafe is a cool little place that serves very good food. There is a lot of nice outdoor seating; shaded and sunny, as well as indoor space. The food is simple and prepared well. On this visit I had their signature omelette, and it was excellent! The service is very good too.

I've driven past this place so many times. Decided to give it a try instead of the usual lil diner rays just down the road. As I suspected, lazy daisy is an upscale but casual and comfortable cafe. There's more seating outside than the quite small indoors so bring a sweater just in case. Large breakfast menu ranging from chiliquiles... More

I stopped in for a quick lunch today. Yes, the place was busy, but the service was terrible. First of all, it looks charming, with an enclosed patio and large umbrellas, but some tables weren't covered by the umbrellas. I sat at a small table in full sun. They have a pretty large menu with lots of breakfast items. Today,... More

Neighborhood eatery with decent food. Ana, the waitress, was wonderful-very friendly and upbeat. I ate lunch with an old friend who is a regular customer. I had a very decent turkey club sandwich on sourdough. He had a burger that looked good. Great service and good food. Unpretentious. Comforting.

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
