went with family for quick bite on Sunday. ordered a croque monsieur and a couple of crepes. The croque monsieur was on soggy white bread with a sad little 'green' salad on the side. the crepes were simple and lacked flavor. the place was nearly empty yet the service was very slow. We were overall disappointed in the whole experience.

Very nice lunch at Panini Garden - but the Garden could do with a "touch-up" - a cleaning or a make-over. When sitting there, enjoying your lunch (in the garden called the "Lavender Garden" - one should only smell lavenders and not the stench of pee... Chairs and tables need to be cleaned at least every day. Service was OK,... More

This place looked pretty nice so we decided to have lunch there last weekend. We orderded some paninis and waited for half an hour until the waiter told us that something went wrong with order. A few minutes later he came back to tell that one of ingredients was not available, and the alternatives were very limited as everything was... More

The salads and paninis are a great lunch option and the garden out back is so peaceful and sunny. I always feel relaxed hanging out here.

Interesting menu. Good drinks. Nice staff. Outside area is funky. There is a comedy night on Wednesdays. I enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

We were staying just down the road & came here 3 mornings in a row. The different types of scrambled eggs were delicious. Nice outdoor seating, staff were friendly, would recommend visiting here. Hope to come back some day :)

Stopped in with spouse while in on a bike ride. Had a classic panini and a Shepherd's Salad. Panini was on bread not too soft or too hard and not greasy. Yum. Came with a small side salad. Shepherd's Salad was yummy. Mixed greens with sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette and served with three crostini with melted goat cheese. The whole... More

We stopped here for lunch on a whim, having come to Santa Monica straight from LAX. We ate outside under the umbrellas and people-watched. The paninis were very good - I especially liked the caprese panini I ordered, with fresh buffalo mozzarella. The sandwiches were served with a side of greens that were lightly dressed. All in all, a very... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
