Del Frisco's is in a great location, across the street from the ocean and the Santa Monica Pier. The food is good and the staff is friendly.
Both my wife and I started with the wedge lettuce salad. It was OK.
I had the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly, but at $41 for 8oz., was very expensive. My wife had lemon dill salmon, which was good, but could have been better. We shared the fresh asparagus (good) and the truffled mac and cheese (good, but very rich).
For dessert, I had caramel pot de creme, and my wife had chocolate lava cake.
The staff was friendly and efficient.
Del Frisco's seems to follow the steak house trend of being very expensive for what you get, which may explain why the place was pretty empty.

For a restaurant located in a highly touristy area, they had great food and service. We had just arrived after a plane ride and a Lyft driver dropped us off at our hotel. It was mid-afternoon and we were hungry. Dinner was not until much later. My husband was ready for something meaty and substantial. So, he ordered a steak. I had a salad. We had some calamari for starters We demolished the food. Our server was attentive and congenial. They were busy (we were there for New Year's eve) but we received our food well-prepared and done to our specifications.

Ahhhhh dinning in again is so lovely! Del Frisco’s does a great job of making everyone feel super safe. Tons of social distance and cleaning. Our server, Ian I believe, was just lovely, and wore a mask and gloves. The food was SO good. The cheeseburger (seems odd to brag on a cheeseburger but damn...) was incredible! And the Cheesesteak Egg rolls are possible the greatest appetizer I’ve ever tasted. Thanks Del Frisco’s!

We had an enjoyable New Year’s Eve dinner with friends here pre-Covid and decided to go back with family for a nice Friday night. Unfortunately, food, service and the overall experience were very poor. It took 50 minutes for appetizer and salads to arrive. By the time dinner arrived we had been seated over 1 hour 20 minutes (with two small children). All meal orders were incorrect. Steaks undercooked, missing side items, etc. Flatware was removed with salad plates and never replenished so when meals finally came we were missing utensils. Food was cold before we could enjoy it. Manager was unapologetic and server was missing in action once she realized we were dissatisfied. This place is lacking the basic hospitality you’d expect from even a low-cost chain restaurant. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

8 people booked in for 7.30. We sat down and wasn’t given a drinks menu. We had to wait ages for somebody to walk by to ask for one. Ordered drinks and waiter came back and told us some of them wasn’t available. We ordered food and the waiter came back again 15 minutes later to tell us one of the meals wasn’t available but they only told one of us even though two had ordered. We had to remind him ourselves so we could change our order. Food came out at 8.45 and most of it was was cold. I had steak and they forgot the mash potatos so had to wait even longer before my meal was complete and the lobster tail I added (for $25) was absolutely vile. It was so rubbery and cold. At this point we were starving and had I complained I would of had to wait again. Not to mention they closed at 9pm and we had only just got our food at 8.45. Friends fish and chips was freezing and nothing special. Partners ribs where chewy and full of fat. Really disappointing. Avoid this place. So many better places to eat.

We visited here on our day trip to Santa Monica- Saturday afternoon. We did not have reservations and were seated outside straight away- it was a busy Saturday afternoon. We did wait over 30 minutes for our food- however this place still deserves 5 star rating as the the food, atmosphere, views and staff were outstanding. Would highly recommend and would certainly visit here again.

Everything in Del Frisco's is good enough but not extraordinary. Its location in Santa Monica tourist area makes it a good alternative for locals and tourists. Even that they offer some expensive plates, there are also good options at fair prices. At the end you receive what you expect at a place like this.

We arrived ten minutes to nine on a Friday evening. My husband and I were worried that they might be closing soon. To our relief, they’d be closing at 10:30. The host informed us there’d be a 10-15 minute to which we both agreed was reasonable. We decided to sit at the bar and have a drink as we waited. Amaretto sour was delicious. The bartender, Miguel was both funny and personable. The atmosphere was comfortable and laidback. We passed on the table and dined at the bar. I had zero expectations on the food. I went with Caesar salad which was ok, but the appetizer my husband ordered, flatbread pizza and I was surprised that I actually liked it. More-so than my entree if I’m being honest. My husband really liked the roasted chicken. Great food and service. Surprisingly perfect dinner and evening!

I went with Family. Every type of food was on the menu including vegetarian options for me; meat and seafood for my family. The pumpkin soup was the best I ever tasted! We all loved our meals. The staff was amazing - Colby, our waiter was very courteous and attentive and the manager stopped at our table to see how we liked our meal and we chatted for a while. They let us bring our own birthday cake. Public parking is nearby but they don’t have their own parking lot. They have outdoor seating here but we ate inside and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We weren’t rushed and had an absolutely wonderful time.

Very high prices for the quality they give. The waitress at the bar was very rude, we ordered two beers before dinner, then we ordered Caesar salad, terrible, and a sirloin and another meat with a water and Coca Cola for 130 dollars, not counting the beers on the bar. The place is nice but the food is not worth it

I love steakhouses and I always wanted to try this One . And I have to say it was a disappointment. I had a New York strip steak and it was OK but nothing to write home about. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it or terrific couldn’t be better that’s what I also offer also ordered an onion soup and it was the worst onion soup I ever tasted and had to send it back. First time not impressed. The bartender made an incredible coconut peach Mojito

Ordered 2 different foods. I send the first one back and throw the 2nd (cobb salad) away. The egg on the cobb salad smelled. The bacon was just a few bacon fat, the shrimp was overcooked and very salty. It was very different from the traditional cobb salad I like. The whole thing smelled. I couldn't eat it there. I took it home and that end up in the trash can.

I had lunch at this restaurant on the last day of my stay in the USA.
The restaurant is very nice and located on Ocean avenue right across from the Santa Monica Pier.
We opted for a truly spectacular hamburger but the menu was very varied.
Courteous and fast service.
Correct prices.

The location was perfect as it was across the street from the Santa Monica Pier. Patio seating available. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly on the patio. Very good variety of menu options. We both had sandwiches & flat bread pizza with side salads and everything was very good. Our server, Laura, was very personable and she checked on us regularly. Excellent experience.
