Consistently good eats. Whether you dine in or order for delivery, the food arrives fresh, hot and delicious. Very reasonable priced.

Chose this place on Garmin without any knowledge of quality. Likely would not go back even if we lived in the area. We were the only customers during our stay but there was a strong takeout business. My sweet and sour with chicken had a no so yummy taste. The chicken looked like deep fried clam strips and were crunchy... More

Satisfy your Thai cravings for Thom Ka, et al, in this small eatery just up from the 3rd St. Promenade. Pretty good selection and the food is authentic Thai. Suwaydee. You'll enjoy...

A very small restaurant offering low cost value thai food. Not a great selection on the menu, but all the obvious thai dishes there. If you just need a cheap tai lunch they appear fine.

I had high hopes when the ice water arrived in a cute mason jar mug, and the menu was full of vegetable and tofu options for a nice vegetarian meal. But the tofu and broccoli rice noodle dish arrived in an under-seasoned brown sauce, and the noodles had already congealed together at the bottom of the dish. The portion size... More

We had two appetizers and two entrees between two adults and two kids. Portions were a good size. Dumplings were okay. Fried calamari was awful- lots of breading and very, very crisp which made it hard to eat. Pad Thai was average. Chicken with cashew nuts was good. Charged extra for rice and peanut sauce, but gave a 10% discount... More

the fried rice and stir-fried noodles were excellent - but the pad thai was very average. This place is very "hole in the wall" but the staff was really attentive (maybe because we were one of two groups in the restaurant). Don't let the lack of patrons run you off - it's great for something quick and easy as long... More

I've only eaten there once, but I will go back. The Thai Noodle lunch special was nicely seasoned and a reasonable portion. I was there for a quick lunch and the service was good.

Looking for a Thai restaurant I asked the Hotel Concierge for a recommendation. He didn't hesitate to recommend Ty'ss Thai about 2 streets away from the hotel. He said it was small, straight up and no frills but the food was delicious. He was right. It is small with minimal decor - possibly 12 tables in all. No alcohol licence... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
