We ended up going twice on our trip because we loved it so much. Decent prices (hard to find in Santa Monica) and good food. Not too busy and just a simple, wide variety menu. Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner and open late for drunk food.

I came here 5-6 times during my 10 day vacation in LA. I was more than satisfied with the food every time. I wish I could take this place with me back to Europe. Very friendly staff and alright prices. Try the pancakes and milkshake. And burritos. Actually try everything. Bon apetit.

Ate breakfast here. Liked the old fashion diner feel of the place when we walked in. The take a menu and sit where you want policy worked fine, as there were few customers.Order taken and beverage served promptly; coffee refilled. A bit of a wait for the food, especially considering place was pretty empty. When food arrived - pancakes were... More

Nice and very popular diner. They have good vegetarian options that are tasty and fairly priced. You should arrive early because it gets busy for brunch. A good choice if you are around.

Traditional style American diner set off the main tourist trail and popular with locals. Clean and well staffed with polite and attentive staff. Menu is exactly as you would expect with plenty of options. We went for the fried egg sandwich with bacon and a side of potatoes washed down with bottomless coffee excellent is all I can say. One... Great for that "US diner experience" especially if you have their All American Breakfast (cheaper during the week before 11am).

So I'm looking for a late night diner in Santa Monica. I come across this place and go in for a late snack. The environment is quite......eclectic. The food is average at best. It's about average for what you'll find at 1 o'clock in the morning anywhere in Los Angeles. The service was decent but some of the clientele were... More

Hip throwback coffee shop/diner. Food is great at a fair price. Highly recommend the early bird special (served to 11AM) with 2 eggs, choice of french toast or pancakes and choice of breakfast meat for 7.25. Seen from knocked up was filmed here.

This a recommendation ft someone who used to study in Santa Monica, so we were confident that it would be great. We were not disappointed. The milkshakes were scrumptious. I had the chocolate/coffee combo and it was divine, as were the vanilla and strawberry versions I sampled. The food was plentiful and well cooked. The onion rings were crispy and... More

We have been going to Swingers for years -over a decade. Every time I come to L.A. (5 or 6 times a year) we go there at least once a visit. It used to be great - food, service, price was fair. We arrived and waited a few minutes to be sat. No problem there. Once, in our booth we... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
