This is not my favorite sushi restaurant in Santa Cruz (that would be Shogun), but it's close to home and the sushi is ok. The photos on the wall are amusing but the music is WAY TOO LOUD.

I was patronizing my barber next door, and stuck my head in the door of Sushi Tutoro to consider it for lunch. The overwhelming bad small of garbage and cleaning chemicals turned me off, and I left without asking to be seated.

This is a tiny place that was packed. I had one of their Santa Cruz special rolls and it was just OK. I also had the Hawaiian poke and it was just OK; not as tasty as the Hawaiian poke but with a lot of pepper flakes so it really had a kick. I'd eat here again because the Santa... More

We were delighted! It's a small strip mall type place with about a dozen tables serving excellent food. Tempura is the best around in SANTA Cruz! The dragon roll, hillbilly roll and spider roll we ordered were all so good! My husband just said," I could definitely do that again, very happy!" They serve miso soup starter too.

My husband and I went to Santa Cruz for the weekend to run the Wharf to Wharf Race. After the race we were starving & craving our favorite... sushi! We're from the central valley so didn't know where to go. We searched for a sushi place & came across Sushi Totoro. Omg, it was sooo good! Will definitely go back... More

We went by on a very stunning trip from Carmel-by-the-Sea back to Sausalito to have a quick meal on the way. What a cute eatery with "thousands" of polaroid pics which covered the walls. Very friendly service and delicious sushi!

I go to this sushi place every time I'm in Santa Cruz, which is pretty often. The food is great, perfect rice to fish ratio, and the soup is great. Although the music can be a little loud and annoying (crappy pop music) the employees are very friendly and the overall vibe is welcoming. One of the few downfalls is... More

This sushi joint is away from downtown (in a mini-strip mall on Mission) and tiny, but almost always full. The food is very good - we usually get the bento box - and very fresh. The teriyaki is especially good, as is the sashimi option for the bento box. Wide selection of rolls, many of which are imaginative. Service is... More

It is a nice casual place with good food. We had rolls and a bento box for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). We got courtesy/complementary miso soups that the kids loved.
