This locals Gem of a fusion restaurant is hidden off of Las Positas and 101. You will not be disappointed.

First the upside: The location is convenient, there is ample parking, and servings are large. The downside: I didn't feel welcome when we walked in. We went at lunchtime and it was very quiet. We stood around for a while before staff offered us a table. He looked like he smelled something bad. My friend ordered chow mein. What arrived... More

Very good food, helpful waiters and family ambience! Cantonese cuisine plus Sushi Bar! We had Seafood Seaweed Soup, Braised Green Beans and a Saporro Roll! All excellent!

I have no idea why this place would have bad reviews. We came here with 6 people and a toddler. The waitstaff was friendly and quick service. The lazy susan in the middle of the table was perfect for our group, as we all ordered one thing and then shared it. Everything tasted great, and we ordered from the Chinese... More

This was a very disappointing experience. We were basically ignored the whole time we were there. The staff paid attention to customers who spoke their own language. The food was unappetizing. We ordered duck and it was overcooked and way too fatty. Don't waste your money here.

We were seated in one of the side dining rooms that have overly bright lighting. We were basically ignored for ten minutes before anyone came to our table. During our meal, we had to wait several minutes to get someone's attention to get a knife for the bbq meat. No one came to check on us during the meal, and... More

This dated but excellent restaurant is finally updating the decor. If done right, this will be the premier Chinese restaurant in SB. Slightly out of the way, it's worth the drive a few miles out of downtown. Lots of free parking, lots of tables, polite Asians serve you the best Asian cuisine in town! A few bucks more per person... While on a trip to California we went to the Empress Place with our Grandkids. We had 5 dishes, most of the usual Chinese dishes, (Orange Chicken, Chicken with Snow Peas, BBQ Pork ext). We also ordered the Chicken Pan Fried noodles, which was excellent, the noodles were pan fried and were nice and crispy. The chicken and vegetables were... More
