Lunch choices are a matter of taste and the nature of the occasion. Tupelo works for a wide range of tastes and occasions. Good healthy food and well prepared and good breadth. Fresh ingedients and good service. The room is pretty informal and rather mid range. If you care about the feel of a fine dining room, this isn't it.... More

Marvelous experience start to finish! FANTASTIC food, happy, friendly employees, charming ambience, and absolutely superior, unobtrusive, A-1 top-notch service. Can't say enough how great it was. Drinks are refilled instantly, food is served the second it comes out of kitchen, fresh flowers even in the restroom (!), and the waitstaff is patient and pleasant. Recommend fried green tomatoes, collard greens,... More

Walking up State street with my wife and made a quick decision to stop and eat at Tupelo Junction. Turned out to be a good decision. Nice friendly, greeting when we walked in. Very quick, friendly service from out server. I had a fried green tomato BLT which is served with home made potato chips, excellent. My wife had a fried... More

Tupelo is a favorite go-to for me. Lunch is particularly wonderful; the cafe has great lightening with a casual feel. The fried pickles are the BEST. I usually order the friend chicken salad or turkey sandwich. Don't miss this place when visiting SB - it's near the historic courthouse, art museum, and library.

Hubby always orders the Bloody Mary with the crab claw and as usual they did not disappoint. He also had the crab cake hash with avocado mash, which was delish! I ordered the collard greens and mac & cheese w/bacon. The greens had WAY too much vinegar and the mac was really good just missing the bacon! I was too... More

Happy hour includes very good local wines and a good variety of small plates. Two such plates are a meal.

We happened upon this cafe on our way out of Santa Barbara and felt very lucky to have done so. The menu is creative and it was hard to choose but we settled on the pumpkin/oat waffle with carmelized bananas and real maple syrup and a delicious egg scramble with a biscuit and homemade jam. All of it was delicious.... More

The food and the presentation were fantastic. Everything in SB is expensive, but if you are hanging out on State Street, check out this restaurant. We at their for breakfast. I will ay that the asparagus eggs I ordered tasted wonderful, however, when I had them "to-go" so I could finish later, it smelled like fish... ? Couldn't quite understand... More

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here on a Friday morning. It wasn't crowded so we got a table right away. We split the fresh berries and opted not to have them topped with whipped cream. They were delicious. I ordered two eggs with potatoes, bacon and toast. The eggs, bacon and toast were delicious. The potatoes tasted like they'd... More

We ate here at the suggestion of our hotel and a friend. We shared a starter of fried green tomatoes, which were succulent and tangy. They were served with a fresh tomato/corn salsa and a tasty dill cream dipping sauce. For entrees we had the shrimp and grits and the fried chicken. The shrimp and grits were served with a... More
