Always a pleasure to dine at the Wine Cask. The food is always good, the people friendly, the wine list robust. The cherry on top is the ambience. The main dining room is a beautiful restoration that feels like eating in someone's elegant home and the fireplace is a truly romantic location to get a table. The patio is also... More

I was outside and it was quiet atmosphare, but I had to wait to mutch for service. Personal was friendly. Food was ok but for my personal feeling not special. Handling with WIFI and Passworts has room for improvement.

I attended a rehearsal dinner with my family in the courtyard of this restaurant. What a wonderful environment, food and waitstaff. The food was delicious - everything we had was great - well presented and fresh. The waitresses especially made good recommendations and were friendly in professional way. I couldn't have been happier with my experience here.

We were seated near the fire place on a chilly evening and felt we were off to a good start! At the recommendation of our server we ordered and enjoyed the stuffed calamari. The halibut chowder was amazing, such a wonderful blend of textures and flavors. Definitely a lovely evening.

We had a group of 8 which couldn't decide if they wanted a Chefs menu or not (This was part of the problem). But they did accommodate those of us that wanted it with a wine pairing. The wines were not very good and were served not necessarily with the correct course. 3 out of the 5 courses were good,... More

Went on Valentines Day. Beautiful setting and the staff was pleasant but not worth the price. The food was mediocre and meager portions. Very disappointing!!

Wine Cask feels like an old restaurant -- high, painted ceiling, spacious room, much quieter than your typical modern restaurant that is engineered for a frenetic sound level. To us it felt dated, like something that hadn't changed much in decades. Wine list is large and interesting (had a nice Kunin chenin blanc from California) and wines by the glass... More

the greeter/maitre'd left something to be desired.) Parking also left something to be desired. Even though there was a parking lot outside the front door, we were required to give $8 for valet parking. We were stuck in traffic due to an accident. Arrived almost an hour late. They recognized that we were frazzled and gave us a glass of... More

Honestly every bite was scrumptious. We had the steak, mashed potatoes and spinach - a common meal, but done really well. The wine options were affordable and varied, which is important. The atmosphere and noise level were comfortable. No complaints, truly enjoyed our experience. Priced high, but we were prepared for that for a special occasion.

You can eat inside and you'll be very comfortable and happy, but try to sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy the way this restaurant ought to be experienced. The food is expertly prepared and the service is professional. Wine list is superb. One of the very best places in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.
