Lovely spot on Milpas. Nice musical ambiance. Friendly counter people. Mac on Crack was a disaster. The floury? base was grainy, lacked flavor. Too much apple and pecans. not enough blue cheese and other cheese. Too liquidy. Not MY kind of comfort food. :-( Hubby went for tri-tip. Meat was good, but it had a weird taste or sauce or... More

Heard people mention this while out walking and had to try it. I had the Tugboat and she had the fish tacos. Both were excellent. We sat outside under umbrellas and had choice of several sauces. I was full, she couldn't finish. We will go back if we visit again!

One of the best eggs Benedict I've ever had, the "tug boat" is pretty awesome. The "French chicken" wasn't very appealing when seen in the menu, but actually is interesting and tastes good. The ingredients seem to be of a decent quality, and the kitchen is visible, and clean. Their coffees are also good. The place itself is decent, classic... More

It's a sunny and warm day outside, and we enjoyed a fabulous brunch at The Shop. Ingredients are fresh and the Eastside, Tugboat, Frenchie and the fish tacos were all great. The patio seating is next to a mechanic, but we didn't mind.

The Shop provided the food for our son's recent wedding and it was outstanding in every respect. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

So delicious and rich and healthy. Simple setting outside, but charming. Eat with the locals, no tourists to find, since it is a block away from State Street.

The food is fancier than the setting at this yummy, neighborhood cafe. It was popular on a Sunday morning without being crowded, which indoor and outdoor seating and counter service. The portions were huge - we could have split items. I got the Rollex ($9), which was like an omelet crossed with a breakfast burrito. The eggs, chopped bacon, avocado... More

I come here each time I'm in SB for a quick breakfast. The food is local, organic and delicious! It is also served quick and the staff is always incredibly friendly. My only complaint is the coffee if you stay and eat is still served in a disposable cup, rather than a mug. But it's still delicious

My husband and I love to come here for breakfast when we're visiting our daughter in Santa Barbara, She used to live just off of Milpas and recommended The Shop highly. I had the oatmeal on my very first visit and have to say it's the only thing I've ordered on every other visit as well - it's that good!... More

Poor service and wrong order. But the food is pretty good. It's also pet friendly. Hard to find though.. there's no sign with the name of the place..
