I visited the day before Thanksgiving. We had a short wait and sat on the balcony overlooking the marina. We were quick to order. We enjoyed the clam chowder which was the best I've had. The swordfish and seabass were excellent. Service was on point with our water refilled often, plates taken away quickly and food delivered hot. I would... More

On our annual winter trip, we always make time to have lunch at Brophy Brothers! The wonderful view, the service, the fabulous clam chowder--terrific! Southern California at it's best!

We had the fish n Chips and our friends had the sampler platter. Our fish was hot and crispy along with great coleslaw. There platter was loaded with all sorts of seafood. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We definitely will be here again.

Nice location at the harbor. Good food in a casual setting for a fair price. Be sure to get the clam chowder - it is excellent and worth going there for. Wait staff was excellent. I recommend sitting outside. Good views of activity in the harbor. Active bar. Fun lively atmosphere with lots of locals. Fair quantity for a fair... More

We came here after much driving for a late lunch. Sat at the bar and had the clam chowder and beer shrimp and a couple of drinks, wonderful. Loved the scenery, the ambiance, the bar dudes. They make a good, stiff drink. Two days later we went back for a late dinner--it was just as lively, even though it was... More

Recommended restaurant by the hotel but think that is because there is a link! To be fair atmosphere is great and we managed to get a nice table outside. Service was good and food was tasty, good seafood. I was disappointed to learn when I asked the waitress about the mahi mahi and its freshness that she didn't know and... More

We were lucky to get a seat at the bar at this busy place; the bartenders are very efficient and so much fun. The clam chowder is exceptional and the sourdough bread is so very tasty; we also had the fried clam appetizer. We shared the sea bass which was dusted with Cajun spices. It was fun to walk along... This place was highly recommended for seafood. The seafood was good but not excellent. We expected freshly caught fish because this restaurant is right on the water. The views are great & the service was very good. The ceviche & mussels were good.

A trip to Santa Barbara is never complete without stopping by Brophy Bros. The service is always pleasant and swift, your wine glass never empty and the sourdough bread is the best. We shared a baked clam dish to start and had a delicious mahi mani main with their clam chowder and slaw. View over the harbor boats lovely and... More

After a week of work in Santa Barbara I head for the harbor and the Brophy Bros. for an early dinner, around 6PM, and a walk on the breakwater, weather permitting. With a little patience, one can get a table for two outside overlooking the pier and the frequent unloading of sea urchins, crabs, or local fish. The real reason... More

Description
We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
