Great food, fun atmosphere, spectacular and romantic views. The service can be a tad slow, but who cares when you know the food will be great and you can't beat the view. You will find all the locals there!

It was another grey, foggy February evening on the Californian coast as we set out on a brisk walk from our hotel to the harbour, where there appeared to be two dining options – one quite smart-looking restaurant that a first glance looked quite tempting, and another next door that was upstairs and in a bar setting. Our choice reflected... More

We eat there for Valentines Day lunch. We waited for 20 minutes for an outside table and are glad we did. There are great water views. I enjoyed the scallops and my husband loved the clam chowder. Patrons and staff were helpful.

We visited mid-week on a sunny day. They were busy with 20 minute wait, luckily 2 seats open at the bar. And then we realized, bar seating is actually better because you're up higher than the tables so you get a commanding view of the harbor. Great bartender, very fast, efficient, kind of read our minds. Offered to fresh grind... More

Excellent location overlooking the marina at Santa Barbara. You must try the clam chowder and the calamari!

This resteraunt is in a very nice location in the Harbor of Santa Barbara. You can view the local fisherman as the unload their daily catch. The clam chowder is excellent. It is to bad that the rest of the menu is mediocre at best and expensive. In addition the drinks are expensive and not really very good so stick... More

Imagine a lively seafood restaurant where you're enjoying great food with friendly and fast service. Now, add boats tied up in a harbor to the foreground and the backdrop of Santa Barbara homes on the mountain to the scene. That's this place. Here's the surprise and probably why the locals like it: priced appropriately with convenient parking.

Went to Brophy's on a rainy weeknight. Sat at the bar for a drink and soup. My wife had the chowder which she rated excellent. I had the Chippino, which was very good. The restaurant is small, so you might have a wait on a regular night,

They don't take reservations. So we got on the list, got a beeper, and went outside to have a cocktail. Dinner and drinks over looking a working harbor was fantastic and very romantic. We would definitely go back

Have to stop at Brophy's for some clam chowder and a bloody mary! All the food is delicious in this lively, fun SB classic! Right on the marina, its a must for locals and travelers alike!

We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
