This restaurant was recommended to us as having good food, and it did. The part we didn't enjoy was the atmosphere. We sat upstairs where there was loud music and people talking loudly over the music. The area where our table was is crowded, my chair was back to back with the table next to us and we could hear... Brophy Bros came highly recommended but we went away very disappointed. The calamari appetizer and clam chowder were fine, but the $24 crab cakes were cold and practically inedible. We would have sent them back but we were seated in the outdoor patio and didn’t want to spend any additional time next to the creep standing alone at the patio... More

We had a fantastic meal. The clam chowder was fantastic and the calamari was some of the best we have ever had. Great view. Super friendly staff.

Last night we dropped in a Brophy Brothers after visiting the Maritime Museum. It was 9:00 PM on a Thursday night so there was no line. Advise visiting this restaurant before or after peak dinner hours and not on the weekend, unless you don't mind a wait. It's very popular with both locals and tourists. We pronounced the Clam Chowder... More

My wife and I ate here a week ago and had nothing but rave reviews of their food and service. They were packed so we had to wait a while and were then seated on the outdoor patio. I was a little concerned because it was probably 45 degrees outside, but the patio was covered and heated and completely comfortable.... More

Informal dining at the harbor of SB, we felt a good atmosphere like everybody around happy and satisfied to be there. Staff is friendly and young, fish is good and the clam chowder is a must. No reservation, they gave us a buzzer so we waited about 15min at the bar downstairs, btw happy to have a glass of wine... More

Enjoyed their broiled swordfish served with vegetables and fries. My husband had their fish and chips and it was lightly breaded and delicious! The service was great! They are always busy, especially on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a minimum of 30 minutes and up to an hour to get a table, but it's a fun place with... More

We had lunch on the deck overlooking the harbor. We had the Cioppino, the chowder and a salad. All of it was wonderful. The view overlooking the harbor was so peaceful. It was a great place to sit and enjoy the afternoon.

Amaaaaazing place! Gets extremely crowded so get there early, but is worth the wait. We sat at a table overlooking the harbor, which was magical in itself, but the food blew it all away. NE chowder, as you can see from the title, was phenomenal. Fish n chips was perfectly battered and fried, blacked salmon was flaky and delicious, and... More

Description
We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
