This restaurant is small in size and huge in flavor. The flavors come through in the sauces. The pasta is homemade as well as the bread. Very good!

I had lunch with a rich friend at Sole recently, for my first and last time. Parking was a bit crowded, but I got there on time. A recent reviewer of this place says, "Just like eating at home." No, when I eat at home...i get what I order. In this case the waiter did not write down our orders and botched up both of them. We both got less than we ordered and the wrong things. When we tried to correct the order, the waiter became argumentative. Instead of offering to turn in the correct order (which would have made more money for the place) while we enjoyed the preliminaries, he kept complaining about our communications, although he had time to touch the shoulder of my companion, an old trick of waiters to build rapport and build tips. I am young, but I was not born yesterday. So we took the food we were offered because we were hungry, and I filled up on bread. I had a total of three prawns on a prawn Caesar, no main course, and my companion had a sandwich with plenty of bread and the wrong salad. The waiter never came back to check on anything until check time. So the service was bad, but what about the food? I almost forgot. The food was ... forgettable. There are many good Italian restaurants in this area. Sole is not one of them. Will I return? When climate change reaches Hell.More

Very tasty Italian food. They served a variety of dishes to our party of 10. All the pasta was prepared from scratch. Meats and sea food dishes were excellent. Was a little surprised that they did not have any veal dishes on the menu

The food in this restaurant is great, the menu is not extensive but what is on it is superb, the homemade ravioli is divine the meatballs and spaghetti is a favorite with my kids. It may be no frills but the wonderful staff are so...welcoming you feel like you are in someones home. Make sure to book as there are few tables which is why it so cozyMore

Was visiting my fiances family in the Bay Area. Her grandmother took us for helping her. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and was well cooked and seasoned. My fiance has an unusual allergy and they were able to both to accommodate her and...seemed happy to do so (which can be a struggle). The portions were fairly small for the price, but the food was indeed excellent and I admittedly do not have extensive knowledge about pricing for comparable restaurants in the area. The price might prevent me from going on a regular basis if I were nearby, but we would certainly go back for a nice evening out.More

Great little family restaurant. Delicious Italian food run by a great bunch of folks. Best pasta sauce and meatballs I have had in awhile. Enjoy the food.. and don't wait.

When in Bay Area, we must make it at least once to this our favorite restaurant for genuine Italian cooking under the watchful eye of owner who uses the best Italian basic ingredients; burrata, parmessian … Tonight's clams in tomato sauce with a touch of...chilli is superb, so is my risotto tartufo nero… Excellent wine at reasonable prices. Friendly waitress has been there forever👍 Reservation a must! What more can I say!More

I have gone to Sole twice and the service and food were outstanding in both visits. The bread was scrumptious! It was served soft and warm. I have ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and it was delectable! The Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli was tasty. Even...the desserts were outstanding. We ordered the Terrina di Cioccolato and the Cannoli and they were both mouthwatering.More

Sole is a very small local Italian restaurant that seats about 30 people inside and about 12 outside under their heat lamps. It has kind of a straight forward, no non-sense vibe putting the emphasis on the food rather than the decor although it is...clean, bright and attractively laid out. We've eaten there regularly and have never been disappointed whether having the pasta or meat dishes. The wine list is not extensive however their are some fairly priced good Italian Wines such as Chianti Classico Reserve and a nice Sangiavese. They set the table with a 'bottle' of chilled water, bread and tomato style dipping sauce. Waitresses are accommodating and friendly although they seem very busy. Reservations are almost always a must as we've seen groups turned away that did not have them. This would have gotten a 5 star were it not for the sometimes noisy customers in a small space. This is a hidden gem with fair prices and great food.More

We walked into the restaurant after a difficult day, and had to wait. It was Saturday night and the restaurant is small ... what did we expect? Once we were seated, we got the sun-dried tomato spread with the bread, and OH MY GOODNESS. The...spread was just put on the table with the bread, and it was wonderful. My wife got the gnocchi, and said it was the best she's ever had. HIGHLY recommended ... with reservations, if you please.More
