Except for the parking on the busy street, getting in and out of Rubio's for a good fresh meal is easy. We had shrimp/fish tacos and they were just like the picture advertised on the wall - colorful, tasty and delicious. Easy to customize all their choices, too. The staff was very helpful and the service exemplary. We would eat... More

We just moved to the Bay Area from Toronto, and the first night we arrived we found Rubio's. I am a HUGE Chipotle fan, and this burrito blew Chipotle out of the water! They have a number of different seafood combinations, but I would recommend the Beer-battered Fish Burrito. The flavors mixed in with the freshness of the fish made... More

Delicious tacos and burritos, all fresh with fresh ingredients, a smaller version of Chipotle. If you want this sort of food you can't go wrong.

We love rubios. This location was just too slow. 6 patrons in the restaurant and it took 30 minutes for our takeout. The only person that was on it was the young male that took our order. I hope they get some training soon.

As we don't have many Mexican establishments in the UK this was indeed our rare visit to a Mexican restaurant. The wife & I opted for the burritos (one ground beef & one steak burritos) washed down with two beers, churlish not to. Both meals were very substantial served with loads of fresh warm corn chips. First you places an... More

It was our first time to this restaurant to support our local elementary school - Sunnybrae as they were having a restaurant sponsor night. We ordered variety of tacos and the kids got the kids meal (chicken quesadilla). The food and ingredients all tasted fresh. They serve sustainable seafood only. We enjoyed it. Will go back for sure!

The counter person came out and gave us a menu when we stopped to read the menu they had posted in window. That got us to go in and give it a try. They have 3 kinds of salsa. The food was good. I think they could decorate it a little better

Whats in that sauce They put on those fish tacos??? Put a chemical laden calorie bomb on anything and it will taste good . This is not fresh REAL food! I'm not a negative person but it reminds me of McDonalds and the decor is not up to the beach feel they try to portray either.

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
