OMG, this is the best place ever, for true authentic Mexican food in old town san juan. You might need an interpreter, but that is fine because the food is hot an fresh, and the prices are just right. Don't forget the aqua fresca. This is a must go to for real Mexican food.

This is great walk up Mexican cuisine. So many great options. Tacos of every style to tantalize and complicate your choice. Good luck.

This is a combination grocer take out joint up the street from Mission San Juan de Capistrano. It is a "must stop" for food. Cafeteria style with some seating they offer a full array of foods. Soups, salads, carnitas, pollo, jugos, rice, beans, desserts, they got it. And a great alternative to the pricey tourist and local restaurants. We ate... More

I have been coming here for years. The tacos are the best. I love the bakery too. Go often and you will become a local too.

Actually the whole small strip mall area is full of buildings with signs in Spanish, and this restaurant is 100% authentic. I only knew what half of the menu was, and it was a very large menu. Not only the food is authentic but so are the drinks and the desserts too. The price was great and the food was... More

This place is more like a taco shop than a restaurant, although there are a lot of tables outside. The food is excellent and it's a great place to get lots of food for a party. The food is more authentic than most Mexican joints. They also offer lots of juices and traditional sweet breads. Mind you, on a hot... More

We bought a family pack (meat, beans, rice, tortillas and salsa) since we had friends in town. The value was excellent and the food was delicious! This is VERY authentic mexican food.

They have everything you can imagine, spanish/mexican. Even the dessert cabinets are full of fresh made pastries of every kind imaginable. You order from the large menus at the counters and all is made fresh to order. You either pick up at the cash register or have it delivered to a table inside or out.

This is my very favorite Mexican place....I LOVE to come here for lunch. It's a hole in the wall, inside a strip mall, but the food they serve is very authentic and you find dishes here that you won't find in most other Mexican restaurants. The food is soooo good...I've had the taquito place a couple of times...it comes with... More
