To be fair we were the only caucasians on the place so language might have led to the bad service or maybe they were racist (kidding). Food was very good. Limited beer/wine selection. $32 pre tip for two entrees and two beers - not bad for San Jose.

One of my grandpa's favorite restaurants, and he knows his Vietnamese food. Definitely one of the long-standing staples of little Saigon in San Jose and one of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in the bay area. It's located in the Lion Plaza. Came here most recently for Christmas day dinner with my grandpa, boyfriend, sister, and brother-in-law. Wait was 30 minutes... More

There were 4 in our party, ordering 5 different dishes plus 2 appetizers. The name of the restaurant, Nha Trang, coincides with that of a city in the central coast of Vietnam. As such, the restaurant offers some of the special dishes that come from this area, as well as a plethora of seafood dishes. I've been to this restaurant... More

Went today, the 6 of us,I really had high hopes, but.... Thai Fried rice, not. Nothing like Thai fried rice that I had. Thai froed rice is very light and flavorful. This had a red sauce to it, and was sweet. What is up with that? Fish spring roll salad, with some kind of nasty tasting sauce with it. Three... More

We had dinner here late on a Friday night. The place was pretty empty but they were very welcoming even though they were closing in a little over an hour. In our search for a particular dish we specifically went here on the advise of a friend. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, they were out of it. Pressing on,... More

They serve classic vietnamese dishes, and some new ones that I've never had before. The wait was a little long right after the dinner rush and the service felt a little rushed, but we didn't mind as we were on the way to the airport and wanted to eat before we got on the plane. Overall it was an average... More

Plus: Centralized and crowded even on a weekday. Dishes are Vietnamese enough for any picky pallets. Minus: Why do people charge extra for steamed rice when you had "family meal" option? How can you eat Catfish Sour Soup and Catfish Stew Claypot without rice? Raise the prices by a few dollars to cover the steam rice, please.

Upscale Vietnamese food. My wife and I have been here several times. She's Vietnamese. The food is great. The service is a little lacking at times but its easy enough to get someones attention. My wife got this thing with seafood and noodles... like a dry soup. It looked great. Have to go back so I can try it :)... More

the Restaurant has been around since 1989, and the venue shows its age... but, the food and its prices makes this restaurant a must try if your craving traditional Viet 'family' dishes... its popular with the locals so expect a little wait time if you get there during peak times.

It's described as a family style Vietnamese restaurant and having dined here both solo and with a group. The weekday lunch is a better deal. The ambiance might not win you over, but the food is good. If you are not sure what to get, come for the lobster at least.. you won't be disappointed. All in all, this is... More
