Good African food. Rice, veggies, noodles, goat, beef, chicken, spices. Try the Sport Plate for 2. No alcohol. No air conditioning

I've never been to an East African restaurant before Jubba. And now I don't think I'll ever go to another one. This place is so yummy. First time, hubby and I shared the sports platter. Flavors were awesome. Since then, I've ordered the chicken wrap each time. I cannot get enough of the chibati bread. It's the best bread I've... More

The food was decent. Nothing to rave about. I've only had African food in Africa and this place didn't even come close to how amazing African food can be. The service was extremely poor. It took forever for the waiter to serve us and he messed up our order. One thing that was disturbing was that I saw a lady... More

I went here with my husband and a friend. The Good: The beef was great, The goat was decent, but be prepared for it to be a little fatty. The Chapatti bread was amazing, but the Injerra was only good if you ate it quickly (otherwise it was just cold crepes). The rice was also delicious. The Bad: I shared... More

I loved it. I have never had African food or goat meat. The meat was tender and not gamey. The portions are big so it was great to have lunch for the next day. It was getting very crowded at 7pm on a Saturday night the line was out the door. The service was not the best, I asked for... More

The place is heard to find. It is next to the VTA stop. The food is very good. The quantity served is huge. Definitely try "sports platter" with rice. The pilau tastes so good that you want to eat more. One star is off as the place is a bit congested and bathroom is not super clean. No complain about... More

Having only limited African food in my days I found this a great change of diet and culinary adventure. Much different from Ethiopian style cuisine I found Jubba (Somalian) to be tasty, complex, and very filling. The atmosphere is simple and ultra clean. The lady who greets you is very helpful with the menu. The number of menu items is... More

Let's get one thing out of the way, yeah it's next to a light rail stop. That just means it's convenient to get to! The food though is amazing, and it's made fresh while you wait. This is one of those places you can stop by grab some authentic food and then get going where you need to. Don't forget... More

Jubba has the best African food, hands down! The staff are extremely courteous and accommodative. Good food/next door/good service with very reasonably prices - what else can you possibly ask for?!
