Walking around town we were drawn into this place by the happy hour sign and the reviews looked good. It was a Wednesday evening and pretty slow. We were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we wanted. Happy Hour had another 30 min left and they brought us all the menus and wine list. My friend had a few... More

Combines the elegance of a modern bistro with the welcoming warmth of the staff. Good food and good wine (as well as good beer!), either sitting at a table or at the bar - where you can share an always interesting conversation with the owners or the regulars, you will feel part of the "vyne family" right away. And there... More

Tasty small plates with an extensive wine menu. Several of the plates are discounted for a 5-7 pm early bird specials, and are very well priced. Excellent service in pleasant ambiance.

I happened upon this spot ... totally new to me, although I was told they'd been there for three years. I found the food (a small plate appetizer of mushroom risotto and a salad) to be quite tasty. I think they need to train the staff, though: the waiter would say things like "Take your fork" which, if I leave... More

My boyfriend and I, along with a friend, stopped at Vyne for a bite before a concert. The waiter gave us all om 45 seconds to look at the menu before asking if we were ready to order. I said we weren't, but it was ok because I had questions about the menu... I asked him if 3 different items... More

Dropped by for some wine. Nice atmosphere. They had some wines that were't familiar to me. Call the selection eclectic. I had a Sangiovese that was very drinkable although I can't recall the brand. They have a small menu, but we didn't sample any of the fare. On some nights they have light jazz or low key entertainment. Overalll, a... More

Nice little wine bar that also serves food. Actually, it's pretty big you could fit a few large parties inside. Unique location across from the SJ theater and SJSU. Atmosphere is good and Saturdays there is live band music. Prices seemed to be ok but the owners are super friendly and make you feel at home.

This looked the sort of restaurant I should love. I started off with the clam chowder - excellent - followed by the mushroom risotto (I had wanted the shrimp risotto but that was off). The mushroom risotto was very disappointing - bland and lacking flavour. Even worse was that it was brought before I'd finished the clam chowder - a... More

What a treat to have a spot like this open up next door... literally, next door. I was searching for a nice place to have a drink before my friends birthday party and came across an article for the new wine bar in my neighborhood and it seemed like a no brainer. So glad we checked it out. I went... More

Downtown San Jose needs more places like Vyne Bistro that serve a good mix of high quality wines by the glass and food to match. The vast majority of their wines are served by the half glass or full glass (6 ounces), very carefully measured out. There are close to a dozen each of reds and whites to choose from,... More
