We stumbled on this place for late lunch (2 PM) and it was almost empty. Service was friendly. The Vegetarian Vietnamese Crepe (listed as an appetizer) was a wonderful crepe filled with veggies and fried tofu. The Pho with rare and well-cooked beef was enormous and very good with a generous helping of sprouts and basil to add as desired.... More

I usually order one of two things when I come here. I am not a big fan of Vietnamese food but the couple of dishes that I do like, they do very well. Nothing fancy here but the prices are very attractive.

I come here for the 7 courses of beef, which I haven't been able to find in other Vietnamese restaurants. This place is often packed, but it's not too long to wait for a table. The food is fresh, delicious, the wait staff attentive. If you have a big party, they're happy to accommodate you.

What makes or breaks a Vietnamese restaurant is the fish sauce. This place nailed it! The beef stew was probably the best in So Cal. The banh xeo was crispy, but it could use some more bean sprouts and meat fillers.

I love the vermicelli with coconut sauce, which I don't think is authentic Vietnamese, so not all Vietnamese restaurants have it. But Vietnam House makes it best and I love digging into the rich and creamy vermicelli covered in spring rolls, shrimp paste cake, and shredded pork.

Our local host in Alhamabra took us to this local favorite place inside a small & busy strip mall, north of Valley Blvd.or a long evening down to Orange County for classic Vietnamese food - shared parking lot was full & there was a line to wait for a table, which is a good sign itself that it is popular.... Since Golden Deli was closed yesterday (Wednesday), we had to settle for take out from this place. And also I figured since I've only tried it once (which I was none too impress with), I give them another go. We phoned in our order and was told it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. We got there well after 10... More

This long established popular San Gabriel eatery never fails to disappoint when I want state of the art Vietnamese cuisine. From the spring and egg rolls to their bowls of pho with noodles to their charbroiled pork and beef, every dish is a winner. The staff is courteous, the service is quick, and the prices are amazingly reasonable. If there... More

Having grown up and lived in California for 35 years, my family and I have eaten a lot of Vietnamese foods in many restaurants all over the state. I've now lived in AZ for almost a decade and each time I'm in SoCal, I ask to go to Vietnam House, primarily for the crispy skin Spring Rolls I've never had... More

A very large menu to choose from. I have a particular weakness for their Banh Mi, Vietnamese sandwiches. The fried egg and the charbroiled pork and are my favorites--two sandwiches--about $9! Can't beat that. Everything else on the menu is also very good.

Thank onoman
