Sit outside on the patio and look out over the vineyard. Or watch all the chefs inside preparing the food. It's expensive, but a great experience. The food and atmosphere are worth every penny.

This is the training restaurant for the Culinary Institute, and staffed by students in a class, so you will have very attentive service by both students and their instructors (water glass never was left below 3/4 full). However, the food is truly what deserves your attention-perfectly seasoned, layers of flavors and nuances. We weren't planning to have dessert, but based... More

we managed to get a reservation with some friends. The food was very innovative and wines were superb. The service is excellent. This restaurant belongs to the school of chef so you get to taste the dishes of the future top chefs of the US. Highly recommended.

We decided to have lunch at Greystone to have a chance to see the surroundings during the December day. My daughter visited during the summer and had dinner on the terrace, which must have been great. We arrived a little early to see a huge, impressive stone building. We visited the culinary store just inside the main entrance in the... More

This is the old Christian Brothers Winery. It is now owned by The Culinary Institute of America. To walk through this fantastic location where gallon and gallon of wine and brandies has been produced over the years and now to see this fantastic institution in its place is simply awesome. This is a must-see.

Former winery now a Culinary Institute of America restaurant. Student chefs prepare your meal under their teachers supervision. The food is wonderful and if you can try seating at the counter to take in the teaching experience.

You would never know this restaurant is run by culinary students. Service was superb, pacing was perfect, and the food so delicious I asked for the recipes. Book as early as possible and lunch is as good as dinner.

We were lucky enough to get reservations at the Greystone during our recent visit to Calistoga. (closed Sunday and Monday) If time permits and you love delectable foods made from fresh off the grounds produce then the Greystone is "a MUST" The aspiring chefs provide innovative menu choices that change regularly according to availability of local ingredients. The staff is... More

Disappointed that the CIA head office in New York is closing the CIA at Greystone and moving it elsewhere. Got to wonder what they were thinking or what facts they have that the rest of us don’t. 1 star for the NY run management Lunch. Prepared, cooked and served by the students at the Culinary Institute of America, this meal... More

Excellent food and service. Loved the various courses that we received but admittedly the portions were rather small. Not a problem unless you are going really hungry. Definitely would try it again.
