My buddy and I both wanted to try the burger here; it was excellent. It had a great synergy of taste with the quality of the chuck meat; the produce; the added bacon; and the sauce; complete harmony. The female server was excellent; the tall bearded person who poured the water had an absolutely flat affect and was not pleasant... More

We went here with local friends who love this place; we could see why. Every dish we had was excellently prepared and well presented and the service was great, personable and helpful without being intrusive, just what you'd expect in a nice place. The dining room is very airy and pleasant with unobtrusive decor, but when we were there it... More

As I thought about writing this review, saying the food was the best came to mind, but then I thought, "That wouldn't be fair......everything is the best!!" The Waterboy is located in the heart of the city, which means the heart of midtown. It is on the corner, easy to find and there is plenty of nearby parking. Two sides... More

Our third visit here. Always with another couple. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is casual with outdoor seating available. The menu changes which is nice and food is outstanding. Great food starts with great ingredients, theirs is fresh and mostly local products. The cocktail, beer and wine menu is great as well.

There were ten of us and everyone said "spectacular!!!!" Menu varies according to season and also the availability of ingredients. Unusual sauces, light and flavorful. I had delicious sea scallops, but tried bites of halibut and lamb. Yum. Beet salad and minestrone soup. Great. Perfect creme brûlée. Strong wine list. Attentive service. Restaurant was a little noisy initially, but interestingly... More

The food was delicious, service was special. This was my last night in Sacramento, family gathered to celebrate my time here. We had a fabulous time. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone wanting to have an outstanding meal with great ambience.

One of the best meals we have ever had. Everything was fresh and bursting with flavor. Perfectly prepared and presented. Knowledgeable, friendly and very professional waitstaff. Nice to sit outside on a mild evening. Limited parking at restaurant, lots of street parking, but also lots of restaurants so at mealtime streets are full. A five dollar pay lot right across... Went with friends who dine here a lot. The menu is very good with mostly, I gather, locally sourced fresh produce. Very tasty dishes without being over large. Good wine list and great service from a very knowledgable server. Very buzzy atmosphere makes for an enjoyable evening.

A full restaurant on a Monday night speaks for itself... Quick informed service, good wine list with a large choice of half bottles which is great if you want to have different wines with courses. Food very tasty and themed by French and Italian though not presented in the classical style they would do, but instead all sects together, but... More

The Waterboy has been our special night restaurant for a long time, however it will not be the place for us for a while. Our evening started with a patronizing attitude by our server and ended with our wine being whisked away when we left our table to view the kitchen upon invitation. The appetizers were up to par, and... More
