My wife and I took our children and grandchildren to Biba for dinner earlier in the month to celebrate our sons birthday. There were 5 adults and 2 small children. Our food was fantastic from the appetizers on to dessert. The grandchildren of course wanted mac and cheese which wasn't on the menu. However they went out of their way... More

We hadn't been to be better for quite a few years having had a dismal experience the first time. We decided to give it another go and unfortunately were even more disappointed this time. Though they had a nice selection of offerings they have a tendency to greatly over salt their food. Miles rabbit wasn't oversalted however the fried polenta... More

This restaurant has been known for many years as one of Sacramento's finest. Named for the owner "Biba" (pronounced BEE-bah), this place serves top-shelf authentic Italian cuisine with a friendly and personal flare. The cost matches, but the value is exceptional and well worth it. The now-legendary lasagna is served only on Thursday and Fridays and is worth a trip... More

I tried to talk my friends out of going to this tired "landmark" establishment, but to no avail...as I feared, the atmosphere is still nonexistent(picture a hospital operating room with lights turned up full blast), and noisy enough we had to repeat ourselves to every member of our dinner party. The service was ok, but when waitress told us they... More

We sat in the bar area which had a good view of incoming patrons with all the diversity of outfits! It seems darker and more intimate than the other side. Our food was wonderful and the owner even stopped by our table to check on our service. I highly recommend.

Friday's at Biba's means one thing and it's lasagna. Pasta so fresh and delicious you're savoring every bite, The pasta is thin like a whisper and the layers upon layers melt in your mouth. The sauce is light but not so light that you don't taste this heavenly dish of flavor, You won't believe the portion size and swear you... More

Long been wanting to try the labor intensive lasagna and it did not disappoint. The layers of pasta were so thin and delicate. The food was wonderful and the service excellent!

We returned to Biba for my wife's birthday this week. We started with cocktails. My wife tried the cable car(rum, Curaçao, and lemon juice) while I ordered the New York Sour (Amador double barrel bourbon, lemon juice, with a float of red wine). Both drinks were delicious. While we pondered the menu, we enjoyed the bread basket, especially the breadsticks.... More

Have never been to Sacramento so we normally look for historic local restaurants. Biba did not disappoint. The food and service was excellent. ANd a great walk from Sterling Hotel looking at Victorian Mansions during the 1 mile walk. Highly recommend.
