I grew up in the neighborhood, and more recent visits to the Rolling Hills, Palos Verdes area to visit family has brought me back here. The restaurant building and interior are beautiful and always bring anticipation of a great meal, but I am disappointed each and every time. This time I ordered a child Colorado-style dish in what was described... More

We've been eating at this restaurant since the '60s, and it never disappoints. Good food, good service, great ambience.

I have been a patron of Jeff Earle's establishment since I was in high school at Rolling Hills, and one of my must-do's when I was home on leave from the Navy was a dinner with family and an evening of drinks with local friends at "The Red O". Almost 30 years later, and because I'm back living in the... More

Always good...local hangout. So happy to have it in the neighborhood. Interesting collection of antiques and movie memorabilia. Nice to hang out in the bar area and you will see everyone you know!

This is a staple on the Hill. Food can run hot and cold. By this I mean it can be very good or it can be very disappointing. But we still go back.

Decent overall decor, prices were reasonable for a sit down restaurant in PV, but food quality, margarita was subpar. This is a poor copycat of the excellent - El Cholo authentic Mexican chain in LA.

What once was a Southern California chain of restaurants, this Rolling Hills jewel is the lone survivor. It is a very attractive "old style" place with very good food and excellent service. My wife and I really enjoy dining in any of their many beautifully decorated dining areas. We feel that the Original Red Onion is the best Mexican restaurant... More

Me and my husband dine here about 3-4 times a month. Love the tacos, regular crispy and street version. Carne Asada burrito, chimi style is quite indulgent- The portions are pretty large. Love the salsa.. The decor is a feast for the eyes!

Favorite restaurant to so many locals. Great food, moderately-priced Mexican cuisine. They don't take reservations, so there may be a wait, but generally not more than 30 minutes. Food is great. Extensive drink list, full bar. Good service.
