This was my go to restaurant for special occasions and was there for my birthday and they ruined the night. I told the waiter I can't eat nuts so he said he would instruct the chef not to include them in my duck. The duck arrived and I'm not sure what was on it but something was crunchy. Maybe it... More

I was in Palm Desert for a conference and we came to Wally's for a group dinner. They started by having a cocktail reception in the bar area with passed appetizers. I usually only like a few things, but every single appetizer was excellent! The private room was off the side of the restaurant and was glass covered, so it... More

A perfect restaurant in which to celebrate-any excuse will do! One of the valley's finest dining destinations, Wally's has maintained its exceptional high standards over the decades, tweaking the menu and relaxing is formerly strict dress code. The beautiful Steve Chase interiors sparkle, and service is attentive, friendly and expert, though drinks can be slow to arrive. Table appointments are... More

Have been Dining several times a year at Wally's with MIL and husband, mostly on holidays, but now living in Rancho Mirage five or six months a year, so plan to go to our favorite restaurant in the desert a couple times a month! Superb staff, great menu. Large dining areas, beautifully decorated. Spectacular ambiance with a fine dining tropical... More

Although it is true that Wally’s attracts an older crowd and is not inexpensive, it is one of the most consistent and best restaurants anywhere I’ve travelled. We have been going here for close to 30 years and it is always a special occasion for the whole family including the younger generation. Its most appealing feature is the outstanding service... A very special place for special occasions excellent service and food. Would definitely order a soufflé --the lightest I have ever had. With entrees at $50 ,salad or soup about $12-15 ,wine $ 12-15 a glass and soufflé ( can be shared) $12 with tax and tip you will be looking at about $100-120 a person but like I said... More

I had heard that this was a treasure in the desert. A restaurant that would take me back to the fine dining we had in NYC in the late 50's and 60's. Wally's Turtle is a little worn and in need of a service makeover. I don't mind...I actually like that it was not new and shiny. What I didn't... More

We took 2 friends to dinner. Warm greeting at the desk of the hostess, Yvonne. The owner, Michael, came over to welcome us and we were seated at a comfortable booth. Attentive, professional service. Great food. I had the ahi tuna tartare and the sole. My wife had the escargots and the chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and served with... More

My wife and I were taken to Wally's for a celebration of our 62nd wedding anniversary. It was the first time we had been there and we were immediately struck by the number of candlelit tables and very low electric ceiling lighting, which meant I had to lead my wife by the hand, as she cannot see in low lighting.... Such an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel like part of their family. Our head waiter was JB, very attentive without being obtrusive. Sarah was our cocktail/beverage server, very friendly and gave great drink suggestions. We started with the escargot and the tuna tartare, both were delicious. Then,... More
